Great!!!
I read a lot of reviews about so many places and the one thing that stuck with me about this one was someone complained that it was outdated, ignore that review!! Yes some of the bedding was older but it was clean and kept me covered comfortably!! If you want brand new and more perfect go to a motel. I was able to make it in the water within minutes or I could sit on the balcony. It was everything I had hoped for. Thank you VRBO

Would not recommend
The view and location are great. The condo is not. We stayed for 8 nights. Dishes in cabinet were dirty. Pulled a bowl out and it looked like it had cake mix stuck to it. Lazy Susan cabinets had crumbs and food particles. Food (chef cereal) on tv console. Rug was dirty. Drapes were old and had large holes in them. Railing on balcony felt very loose and unsafe. No blanket (just light coverlet) on master bed. No broom in condo. Toilet in master bath leaking from cut off valve. Had to put a bowl underneath to catch water and had to empty bowl into toilet every few hours to keep floor dry. Patio furniture looked like it had been picked up off the side of the road. Random old plastic Adirondack chairs. A couple of straight hard back chairs, table had paint halfway peeled off. Two other old chairs. Nothing matched. 2 out of 3 calls to management went unanswered. I’ve stayed at Seawind for the past 9 years in many nice condos, but this one was not. Just avoid.

Pool restrooms
We used the pool restrooms and the bleach or clorin smell was so bad you couldn’t breathe. My husband is a firefighter and he said it was dangerous. It was all over the floors. Other than that it was very nice and we would come back. Thank you

Dirty and property not described accurately
The condo is in much need of an upgrade. Couch, bedding, w/d, and bathrooms. Was not cleaned well, very dirty and dishes were put back in cabinets dirty. Balcony needs new furniture and a good cleaning. While we liked the location of the property , the pool situation is terrible! Should be disclosed that there is not a real pool but a kiddie pool and what is supposed to be a pool at adjoining property is nothing bigger than a postage stamp. I could go on and on but best thing was it was next door to Sea&Suds.

Where is the maintenance crew?
Called twice about broken and missing items in the condo. Someone helped with the mixed up Dishnet remotes. No one came to fix the closet door that fell off, abd was proped up in the 2nd bedroom the entire week (safety issue), the broken sliding door handle, broken light switches. No hair dryer in the unit. Unit was not ready at check in time. Seemed like poorly made furniture in general in the unit. Rented because of large porch. Furniture on porch plastic or rusted, or worn out. Will not rent this unit again. Not a good value.

Location is great!
The location is wonderful and the condo was nice all except of the mold on the ceiling in between the hall bathroom and guest room and in BOTH bathrooms. For the amount we paid to stay here, that is a disgrace.

Friends spring break getaway
My friends and I enjoyed a few days from everyday work and stress. Enjoyed being right on the beach - quick easy access in and out of condo unit. We have stayed at Seawinds before and enjoyed our stay. The only issue we experienced was the elevator from time to time. Will stay here again.

Loved this property, LOVED 😍 ❤️ both bedrooms had there own OCEANFRONT balcony, close to lots.
Very nice, only suggestion, maybe to have guest leave coffee filters, trash bags, toilet paper. We left all these for the next quest.

Great Location, Great Condo, Great Times
We really enjoyed this condo with great views from the large balcony. The location is great with many nice restaurants and bars nearby. The condo was in great shape and very clean. We will probably be back.

Enjoyable
We enjoyed the stay. The condo was everything as advertised. We loved the short walk to the beach and the gorgeous view. We did feel a bit pushed to get out on check out when housekeeping crew came to the door three times, well before the 10:00 check out time. Then they sat on floor just outside the door just waiting for us to leave. There needs to be some system set up to notify housekeeping when the property is empty or at least they need to wait until after check out time to show up.

Nice condo
This was a perfect Condo for our family. We have 2 small children so beach front was a must for us. The splash pad was a huge hit for my 2 year old. The condo had a huge balcony! The rooms were nice and insulated well because my family never heard my children cry late at night (thank goodness). We would definitely stay here again!

Our son’s first vacation.
If I could rate the unit itself, I would give a 4. The kitchen had everything you may need, plenty of space, overall very clean, balcony was amazing. The couch is made of a denim-like material that gave off a feeling of always being damp and half of the people staying refused to sit on it the entire trip. There were some minor things like the doors of the closet being off their track and towel rods in the bathroom hanging on by a thread. If I could rate the building, I would rate it a 2. Only one elevator worked most of all the week causing wait times of up to 20 minutes for the elevator. When I called to complain about the second elevator being down, it was fixed that day, then broken again by bedtime. The security staff checking parking passes not only never did their job of checking passes, but were very rude in any interaction. They had a security person pushing buttons on the 1 working elevator which took up valuable space since so many were waiting on it and it was just another point of contact for Covid. There was a man and woman cleaning crew who were EXTREMELY rude and would not let anyone on the 1 working elevator so they could use it to transport their cleaning supplies. I get they need to work, but we were already waiting 20 minutes for the elevator with a 16 month old and the exchange was horrible. The pools were underwhelming with broken tiles and the size of them for a facility this big was a bit small. My toddler loved the splash pad so it facilitated its purpose and surprisingly we didn’t have to fight for chairs. The vending machines worked, but the drinks inside were as hot as the summer sun. There is a resident rat seen on 3 separate occasions on the walkway to the beach by the rinsing off showers which was a bit off putting to the overall cleanliness of the property/beach. We never had noise issues and the location is great. We had a great vacation, but I won’t be staying at Seawind again.

Comfortable, great location. Sufficient amenities, but on the minimalist side. Other units have beach chairs and toys with a different rental agency, no hangers, so bought some. Overall though we enjoyed the unit.

Spring Break in Seawind #804
We recently stayed in Gulf Shores at Seawind Condo Unit #804 during Spring Break '19. The unit is very spacious with a large balcony providing a great view of the beach/ocean. Condo is situated within walking distance to many restaurants and gift shops. The unit furnishings are adequate, however, a Keurig coffee maker would be a nice addition, as we ended up packing ours. Our biggest issue had to do with the condo building, not our specific unit. There are only (2) elevators servicing 20 floors. When we arrived we waited 15 minutes for an empty elevator to take our luggage to our unit. During our stay it was common to wait up to 5 minutes for an elevator depending on the time of the day. We tried using the stairs (not the cleanest), but that wasn't practical being the 8th floor. We would consider staying at the Seawind again, knowing what to expect, however, I do think the building could use some updates.
