This is a very lovely space; simple in design, new, and easy to get to with a car. Honestly, we chose it because it was the only place we could find for that night--my sons' were biking from the border of Iowa to the canadian border, putting them in Grand Marais on a saturday night, finishing the bike ride the following day. So we took it.
That it lacked running water and electricity wasn't a problem, just for the price we paid it felt, well, bad. They will plan better next time, so we don't have to feel this way. This was the most expensive place they stayed on the entire trip up (500 miles, 7 nights) and every other place had plumbing, electricity, wifi. Yes, we realize this is in the woods, and rustic, and that's good. Just feeling over-charged for what we got.
