The home yad view of the ocean, but it was partially obstructed by utility poles and cables, as well as some trees. The home had ample room and good heating and appliances. The beds were not comfortable, and the living room furniture and kitchen stools lacked comfort. Neighboring units were very close and there was a lack of privacy. Parking was limited. The biggest issue was that it was very noisy due to the proximity of the home to the highway which had an abundance of traffic, especially logging trucks. The noise was intermittent but still noisy in the nighttime and early morning sleeping hours.

Nice place, great appliances and convenient location
Enjoyed our stay very much. Front bedroom does get a lot of noise from the highway. Home had nice appliances and was within easy walking distance to the coast and downtown Gold Beach. Communication with the Vacasa staff was great, with most issues easily resolved.

It’s a very nice little house and we’ve stayed here several times. My people & I love to vacation here and the southern Oregon coast is beautiful. The only negative is the long drive.

One of the best properties we have stayed at on the coast. Great views and deck, awesome beach access, comfortable beds, great kitchen and overall a comfortable place with a higher end fee.

Updated and Comfortable Getaway
This house is a nice size, with up to date appliances, and a comfortable layout! Only complaint is that the main bedroom does get loud with passing cars on the busy highway in the morning, but I had already read that in previous reviews. Not a problem if you’re an earlyish riser (7am). The WiFi was also fairly slow, but it worked! Great place- would definitely stay again!

When we arrived we were totally surprised to find the house was right on highway 101. My fault I suppose for not looking at a map before booking. The house was adequate but the traffic was relentless all night. But then….. the next morning smoke from a wildfire came in so thick the city was warning everyone to stay inside. We were 300 yards from the beach and couldn’t even see it. It was imperative that we got out, for our health. I called Vacasa to find out what our options were. The reply, “I will have to look in to the smoke situation and call you back…. Ugggg To make a long story short.. I spoke with 4 different people and they could not have been more indifferent with the exact same scripted response .. It has been 3 days and have still not been contacted by Vacasa.

Everything you Need
Porter’s Paradise had everything we needed for a week at the coast fishing & enjoying! It was really good to have the washer & dryer in the unit to wash clothes as needed. And a nice kitchen & deck area to enjoy dinner with a Beautiful ocean view!

Place was adorable, across the street from Gold Beach Access, miles of beach front to walk. Yes it’s across the street with the main road in front I had no issues with noise can always sleep in back bedroom if noise sensitive but not much car noise at night. Definitely can cook nicely in kitchen & very roomy We loved it!

Relaxing trip
House was clean. Easy beach access. We had two dogs and it was nice to be able to walk across the street to the beach - especially because there is almost no grass anywhere on the street for them to go to the bathroom. The smoke alarms are almost right in the kitchen - I set them off multiple times- I had to learn patience and cook at lower temperatures which was totally fine.

not a relaxing stay
For 4 days there was a lady doing lawn work like weed eating and she kept throwing rocks on the deck and hitting the sides of the house. We never knew when she'd show up but then we would hear the rocks pelting the walls and deck. On certain times of heavy traffic you can really hear the cars n trucks going by. We tried to bring our garbage out and it was running over, the next day the cans were gone. CJ

Gold Beach, first timer
The house was adorable, comfortable beds, new build with nice touches and eclectic beachy decorations. The view of the ocean was beautiful. It is truly dog friendly......big dog beds, bowls for both water and food. It was doggy heaven. BBQ worked beautifully as did all the appliances. Some reviews mentioned Hwy 101, you will hear cars but didn't keep us awake. Beach access is a short walk across the hwy and the visitor center for Gold Beach was in the parking lot where you access the beach. There are other beaches to drive and visit both north and south of GB as well. Redwoods are an hour drive south, Dunes are an hour(ish) drive north and all sorts of other beaches in between. Cons: Would have appreciated a hose for the spigot as our dog brought back 1/2 the beach sand every time we went which was at least 2x a day. An in house directory of everything we need to know would be helpful....trash day? When and where to take trash cans, etc? There is still some new house construction happening on the east side of the house which was a little bit of an eye sore but didn't look like it would be going on much longer as the new builds are almost done. There was no construction noise (PRO). I would have rated a 5 stars but felt like I spent more time than I wanted communicating with the management company with little things that could be solved with a directory of information.

Nice place & location depending on what you want!
This place is very new-which is nice! Although some amenities like covered coffee mugs for early morning beach walks would make it nicer since beach access is so close! The noise of 101 is an issue. While outside it blends in with the ocean, but at night with a window open all you hear is cars and trucks. I would recommend as a good location for exploring up and down the coast, but if you are looking to ocean watching/listening from the deck I wouldn't recommend.

Summertime on the Coast
The house is brand new so that was so nice, super clean, had everything we needed. The view was amazing!!!!!! Exactly as described and so nice that our fur baby was allowed. We will definitely stay again!!!
