 The Jarvis Point home might be the most fantastic VRBO home that we have ever visited. It is true waterfront and outstandingly so - it is probably 30feet from the shore. It offers an unbelievably panoramic view of the waterfront, especially from the bedroom on the third floor. We found the home most suited for a couple with youngsters, or a couple with a young adult as was the case for us. It is an outstanding home and a special place with every amenity.

Amazing Property
This was our second stay at this amazingly peaceful property. My favorite feature is the surround windows in the master bedroom, being able to have the fresh air and sounds of the water at night. Had everything we could possibly need. Thank you Shannon for being an excellent host!

Great weekend getaway
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit over Labor Day weekend. The house is well equipped and perfectly decorated, and there's plenty to do outside as well. Swimming/kayaking in the river, fishing off the two docks, soaking in the hot tub, or just lounging in one of the many spots around the property. We had a great time shopping at Nuttall's and walking in downtown Gloucester. There are many other things to do within a 30-45min drive, but we couldn't find a reason to leave :)

Girls weekend
This was a girls trip with my daughters (ages 17 & 12) and 16yo niece. We were excited to travel to the east coast, when we generally travel west. Easy keyless entry. Very comfortable home on the water of the Ware River. There is a great room upstairs and smaller bedroom on main floor. All rooms very clean. Fresh linens and towels. Kitchen fully supplied except toaster. Screened in porch for reading and meals. Also reading and relaxing chairs on ground floor of property with hot tub. This house served all of our needs for the trip. Access to 2 docks. We took the kayaks out our first morning to watch sunrise. We brought our own life jackets since we are seasoned kayakers. I didn't look but assume they supply life jackets. I was disappointed to not receive communication back from the owner on two points. I had sent a message 2months prior to our visit about potential areas for Ebike or segway tours in order to plan some events for the week. I did not receive a message back from her until the 2nd day of vacation. Also, the electricity went out (effects of Hurricane Debby) on last night of the stay. I let owner know (as I'm sure they were also aware since they live walking distance away). The firealarm then went off repeatedly at 1am until I could disarm it. We were not warned that we would not have water (from well) when electricity went out. We made due without water next morning and left earlier than planned since it was so hot/humid without air conditioning.

Fantastic cottage on the river
From the moment we pulled into the drive we knew we were going to LOVE this place! Very private and quiet, but located 15mins from the stores/restaurants in town. You cannot beat this view!! the cottage was wonderfully decorated and very clean. The kitchen had everything you needed including seasonings you may have forgotten. Loved the master shower and how the AC kept everything cool even when it was 95 degrees. The beds were comfortable and the hot tub was clean. Lots of little extra touches....wine glasses, beach chair, kayaks etc. We always had a nice breeze at the patio. Got up early and sat on the dock with coffee. Great communication from Shannon. Cute general store close by. I have to mention that im very surprised being this close to the water and being so hot, there werent any bugs or mosquitoes at all!

River Paradise
Absolutely gorgeous views! The home has an open floor plan with tons of natural light. The decorating is immaculate and you feel right at home. The owner even put together a book with restaurants, local history and places to visit. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Paradise

Perfect little retreat
The home was so clean and well taken care of. We enjoyed fishing and crabbing off of both the docks. We used the kayaks that were provided and enjoyed time out on the river. We went out during low tide and was able to stand knee deep water in most spots. We would highly recommend this home. You do drive past owners home to get to this house and town is about a 15 to 20 minute drive.

Amazing place
Great house that sits within 20 feet of the waterfront. The house itself was clean and had a great layout. the top floor master suite has windows all around and a 270 degree view of the water and wildlife which was incredible to wake up to. Great master bath as well. The screened in porch was nice as well. And the lower level is a patio which is a great shady spot with a good breeze. This house sits right on the water as well so there is almost always a good breeze. The property was great as well. There is a nice private dock. It is also close to Gloucester for food etc. and only aminute or 2 from Nuttals store which is a gourmet meats/ sandwhiches type of country store. Highly recommend that as well. Would absolutely stay here again,

Jarvis Point
Wonderful property with excellent views of Mobjack Bay. Two ospreys nesting right off the end of the dock, and a green heron visiting a tree on the property were a treat. The only downside is that the 2 bedrooms are very unequal in terms of comfort and views. If you are 2 adult couples, one will have significantly inferior quarters. Otherwise excellent. And really good recommendations for local restaurants.

Relaxing weekend oasis
We had a wonderful weekend! The view was breathtaking and even though it rained all day Saturday, we enjoy relaxing in the hot tub and the water views from every part of the house! The house was super clean and well stocked, we’re already excited and talking about the next time we will come back! Would recommend this place to everyone!

Perfect getaway
My husband, myself and our daughter enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home so much! It's by far the most updated, modern, well decorated, vacation home we've ever stayed in. Our daughter (7 years old) enjoyed playing at the little beach area and walking on the dock. The views are spectacular. We stayed 4 nights and even though 2 of those days came with heavy rain, we still enjoyed being cozied up in this charming house listening to the rain. We had two really nice days where we played near the water, had dinner on the deck and enjoyed the hot tub. I honestly can't say enough good things about this property. It's very reasonably priced and you just can't beat the views or the location. There are huge windows in the house upstairs and downstairs. We enjoyed our tea on the side deck (that looks directly out over the water) in the mornings. We were so close to town, where there are plenty of good restaurants. We visited Williamsburg one day and Jamestown on the last day. Shannon has decorated this home so beautifully and it had everything we needed. If you're looking for a wonderful stay, this little slice of heaven can't be beat. You wont be sorry you booked it, that's for sure. Thank you for a wonderful stay! We can't wait to come back one day!

A lovely retreat!
We wanted a quiet spot to stare at the water, read, walk, and restore. Shannon and Corey's property was the perfect spot, gorgeous, comfortable furnishings, and the view! Shannon was incredibly helpful when I flubbed my booking dates and helped us sort it out so we could actually relax and enjoy our retreat. Musing about coming in warmer weather to make use of those kayaks.

Rejuvenating
Our family had the most rejuvenating experience at this lakefront house! The serene surroundings and breathtaking views were more than expected. We enjoyed the kayaking and swings on the property. The jacuzzi was perfect for the cold weather. The surrounding towns were fun to explore. We also ate at some local hot spots that didn’t disappoint. Our trip provided us with a truly refreshing escape that left us with cherished memories. Highly recommend for a peaceful retreat!
