Respite at the Reserve
This gem is an ideal spot for restoring the body and mind while reconnecting with nature. The salt water pool is worth the stay for city-dwelling work-weary people. Early morning coffee/tea outside listening to the birds as well as the neighboring roosters and meditating with the little succulent garden standing guard outside the door is worth the stay. The wind-breaks on either side of the property diffusing any gusts into a mind-calming rustling of branches are worth the stay. Watching the butterflies flitting around the plethora of fauna found around the house and grounds is worth the stay. TL;DR The Reserve is a place of solace to reconnect with the body and soothe the inner-self. Well worth the stay.

Can’t wait to return ❤️
We had a quick four day weekend and we are so thankful that Ed & Cindy opened their home to us. It was the perfect land, quiet, and relaxation that we needed. We attended the Mondegreen Phish Festival and returning to the cottage was the best touch. I would absolutely recommend this to all visiting and we can’t wait to return.

Quaint and Peaceful
My friend and I were headed to Delaware for a wedding. We wanted a place that was quiet and close to where we needed to be. This cute in-law-suite was perfect! Ed and Cindy were wonderful hosts - available as needed and very accommodating from the time I made our reservation through to our departure. Loved the pool and the peacefulness of the area. We had swallows flying and a Carolina Wren singing. Just beautiful!

Great little spot
We enjoyed our stay as 2 adults and 2 youngish kids. The space was very small but functional since we weren’t inside much. We LOVED the private pool and spent lots of time hanging out back! Our hosts were very kind and even sent us home with goodies from their garden.

Ed and his wife were gracious hosts and their property was beautiful and spotless. Ed was always available via text/email/phone and the checking process was super easy. The in-law suite was well stocked comfy and so clean. The protest/pool was beautiful and so quiet.

Great hosts, but no privacy
Have a large property, but they decided to put their in-laws apartment right up next to their house in between the pool and the in law apartment that you rent. Swimming in the pool was uncomfortable because large windows from the house have view and the shades were open. You could hear people talking in the house if you like privacy this is not the place to go, but it is cute.

Memorial Day Weekend Stay
Ed and Cindy were absolute wonderful hosts! The property was so beautiful and the room was clean and stocked with everything you could need! Relaxing weekend at the Reserve
We are just back from our visit and loved our stay. We were in town for our daughter’s lacrosse tournament and chose this property for its convenient location right between our tournament locations (Sandhill Fields and Sussex Academy) and the beach. Ed and Cindy have a beautiful, peaceful property and was the perfect place to escape after the heat and crowds at the tournament. The suite is beautifully decorated exactly as pictured and we felt very much at home. Our favorite part was cooling off in the beautiful salt water pool. We will definitely return and stay again.

Wonderful property
This property is located about 5 miles from the nearest town. It’s very private and quiet. The wind chimes on the porch were a nice touch. This is a huge property with trails in the back acres. It’s private and wooded. My partner and I are both disabled so when they let us use their Gator to explore we were quite surprised and very happy. It was a nice touch. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom has a lovely tub that is comfortable. The kitchenette was well stocked with pots and pans and there was coffee and tea readily available. They have a lovely garden that we were able to help ourselves to. This couple is very friendly and eager to make sure you are comfortable. My only complaint is that the bed was a full size so a little small for a couple. Otherwise we had a great weekend and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

A mini retreat 😍
This is a cute and cozy spot that's tucked away from the crowds, yet it's only a 30 minute drive to the local beaches. It was great to have this serene escape from the hustle and bustle but still be an easy drive to the action. The guesthouse, itself, is compact but very clean and has everything you might need plus so many thoughtful goodies to make you feel right at home. Of course, the real selling point is the saltwater pool, which is beautiful. We loved both swimming and lounging, and the fact that you could swim at night, unlike in a hotel, was a major selling point. Ed's awesome Bluetooth PA system was great for playing music poolside. Ed and Cindy were friendly hosts, and they gave us plenty of space. We'll certainly come back and stay here again. Thanks for the mini retreat and getaway!
