More silver ware, barely enough for 5 people. Frying pan needs to be replaced. No coffee, salt or pepper. Need to make it clear one bedroom and bathroom are downstairs.

We loved the location. Quiet and close to the beach. The house had its quirks. You can tell someone doesn’t live there and it’s a rental property only. Floors are soft in spots, the cookware should be replaced. The sofa is broken.

Everything at the house was exactly as described. We only wish that it would not have been so cold so we could get in the cowboy pool. The ping-pong table was a hit. I would definitely stay here again.

The house was filthy, we spent the first two hours cleaning before our family arrived. There was several weeks old trash in the can outside that smelled horrible. There were two holes in the floor that had to be fixed before our guest arrived - photo attached. One of the electrical plugs, left of the stove was pulled out of the wall and hanging. The toilet downstairs ran water all over the floor so we turned the water off to it and did not use. This was the worst place I have ever stayed. Several soft places in the floor that need fixing. The TV remote as missing for the outside TV. The only positive thing the maintenance man arrived within an hour of our call and place plywood over the two holes and had a spare remote in his truck for the outside TV. This house should not be rented again till major repairs have taken place. Please contact me ASAP about a refund!!!! This is the last time i will use VRBO

I don't usually leave such a negative review. I waited a couple of weeks before leaving it. The main part of the upstairs worked well for the family. The kitchen could use some basic gadgets. The downstairs was a mess. I texted with a few issues. They took care of the fence and the bathtub but not the dirt, green a/c and mess downstairs. The room downstairs is VERY musty. I showed the rep the a/c unit on the outside, it was covered in green mold and growth. It's my first and probably last time to use VRBO and BeachBox. It also is NOT as easy of an access to the beach as described. The a/c upstairs was nice and cold!

Great place to stay! Location is on the far end of the island which is great for getting away from the crowd, but requires a bit of a drive to hit main stays. This ain’t a pro or con, just info for the next guys! Great layout, and comfortable out door area. One of the bedrooms is detached from the main house, which was difficult to see from the listing. This is important to note for families with kids.

It was my Mother 45th birthday and we thought we were about to enjoy ourselves and relax, but no. Immediately upon walking into house the first thing we noticed was the sofa. It was so dirty and stained and dingy. We were in such disbelief, then we noticed the broken blinds and cracked fridge drawer. We reached out immediately to the manager with our discoveries and they apologized and offered couch protectors at least. We accepted because it does state in the rental agreement that they are not responsible for anything basically once we purchase and check in. Well that was day one we reached out and they say they would get couch protectors sent over. That didn’t come till day 3 despite reaching out multiple times about it, so me and my family would sit outside or in the dining area. Then day 2 we noticed the freaking ceiling above the hallway next to the guest bathroom was leaking and peeling off. We reported it immediately as well inquiring about the couch protectors that was suppose to come that day. All we got in response was that they will check with maintenance. By this point (day 2) we were trying to get a refund because this was unacceptable living arrangements, water was literally leaking on my family and myself as we walked down the hallway we have to keep a towel on the floor. We reached out multiple times on day 2 about the leaking and couch protectors. Day 3 comes and the swinging chair that hangs from the ceiling fell to the ground when my mom sat in it.

Not what we expected

Check in was easy. Everything was clean, and it was comfortable. We had 2 problems. 1- when we got there, the trash wasn't taken out, and it had been there for awhile. 2- the 4th bedroom is downstairs. If you have a young family, that 4th bedroom would not do you no good. If you have a someone who doesn't mind sleeping downstairs away from everyone else, this is for you. They do not tell you this in the description. We made it work, but if we knew this before we chose this beach house, we wouldn't have chosen this house. The outdoor pool is small, but clean. Probably a diameter of 6'. Maybe 2' deep,.

Overall the house was great for 3/4 families with kids. The location to the beach was perfect -- very close. The "Cowboy" pool is perfect for kids 6 and under. The outdoor kitchen area downstairs would be really nice if it was a bit cooler. Communication with the owner/manager was easy and instructions were clear. The house could use some touch ups is my only gripe. 4.5/5 stars

Looks are very deceiving! Upon arriving on Thursday 3 of 4 trash cans were full with flies everywhere. The trash cans are directly beneath the top deck but not much enjoyment when you have flies and stinky trash. The downstairs area there is no breeze. The downstairs bedroom has a very musty smell, which I can understand. It is just an add-on but the air conditioner, which is a window unit had issues we had to have maintenance come finally they came after we tried to fix it ourselves. We had to call them twice and they came finally, but never came to empty the trash as they said they would. inside, the living room, furniture is very dirty and disgusting. We had three small children and a newborn which I was very hesitant to lay on most of the time I put a towel down before laying them on it. It is rundown and the cushions springs are falling through. Also, in the downstairs bed, there were ants. The cowboy pool is a great asset. The only great asset, but is very overloaded with chlorine which irritated the skin of a few people in our group. The downstairs also has a TV which there was no remote. The one time we did use the TV we had to use the upstairs remote bring it downstairs. Take it back upstairs, which is a pain. I also told the host about this and no one ever brought us one. The ping-pong table is worthless no net, and paddles look like just pieces of wood not a set ! Here’s a few pictures. I wish I would’ve taken pictures of the couch!

Family Gathering

Communication was great. The place was nice and clean. Everything needed to prepare meals. Beds were comfy. Plenty of room and the soaking pool was the best…Not walking distance to beach. Auto or golf cart needed to cross Blue Water Highway. Bbq pit missing bottom where you put charcoal. Ping pong accessories need to be replaced. The living room furniture needs some updates and cleaning.The most upsetting was 3 of 4 trash cans full and loaded with trash and flies sitting in front of entrance and parking area with terrible odor rising up to the deck of home. Cleaning crew should have noticed and place trash cans onto street for pickup.

Thanksgiving bacation

The stay was great. The ac filter was very dirty. Needs to be changed. The house was nice and could accommodate 16 to sleep but we only had 10 guests overnight. We were very disappointed that the owner would not allow us to have 18 people just for our Thanksgiving meal for a few hours and there was plenty of space outside for that. We had to split our family between 2 houses for the meal. Over all it was a nice house and clean.

Repeat Stay, Still a Fantastic Place
