“We had a very comfortable stay at Toddy's cabin. It was the earliest days of a temperature drop and a bit of chilly weather. We were able to quickly turn on the fireplace and warm up and felt cozy in this peaceful place. It is completely silent at night except for the occasional passing train. We hope to return some day, it perfectly met our needs for exploring the area. ”

“When we first walked into the place and fumbled for a light switch, we saw a marvelous kitchen where everything had a descriptive label. We were quickly able to bypass the usual "Hey, where are the silverware?" complications immediately. Multi-switch panels are also clearly labeled as to their function. Convenient! “The location of the house was great for an appointment we had in La Crosse. The backyard looked nice and I wish we would have been able to utilize it. One of the “bedrooms” is open to the living room, but that was fine for us. Overall it worked for what we needed. ”

“Our stay was very relaxing! We love this area. The cabin was very comfy and nicely decorated. Our communication with the owner was effortless and we had questions answered within minutes. The only possible negatives are the number of steps to get to the bedroom (which was a room with a very comfortable bed and gorgeous riverview) and getting onto the dock. Depending on your mobility, this could be a problem. We definitely want to stay here again!”

“The cabin is beautiful in a very private area. It had everything we needed for a much needed break from our chaotic work lives. Very nice to be able to sit outside at night in complete silence and gaze at the stars to unwind. Would definitely recommend!”

“This house is convenient to excellent hiking trails such as Grandad's Bluff, Hixon Forrest, and Perrot State Park. But more importantly, the property is extremely clean, organized, spacious, and comfy. Our host, Beth, was very attentive and was always a step ahead with welcoming us and guiding us through the exiting process. I would highly recommend this property for a stay.”

“This house was great! We were down to visit my son at Winona State University for the weekend. Fountain City was the perfect cute little river town and it was a short drive away. The house was cozy, clean, quiet, and well stocked. Beds were very comfortable and the host is very accomodating and always seeking to improve, which shows great character.
