Great stay
Such a great stay! Location was easy to get to and from campus, downtown, and midtown. Plenty of parking. The cottage was a gem, we felt right at home! It was very accommodating with amenities. Would definitely return with friends and family.

Amazing Cottage
Loved everything about this place and wish we could have stayed longer just to hang out on the well equipped backyard patio. Beds and pillows were super comfortable, the air conditioning worked great, the kitchen was stocked with appliances and accessories, and lots of bath accessories.

Wonderful Duck Pond cottage.
We were in Gainesville for the weekend and could not have found a better place to stay. The location, the quality of the cottage and the communication from Kathleen were excellent.

Exceeded expectations!
This rental is beyond perfect! I was already expecting it to be great per the wonderful reviews but the real thing i was EVEN better! The house is in such a lovely neighborhood. Walking the dogs was really enjoyable. We all loved the backyard. The house feels like a home. The decorations, furniture and appliances are the icing on the cake. The antique accents of this historic house seal the whole experience. Check in and out was very easy. Definitely rent this place! You will not regret a thing! Will absolutely come back and stay for longer next time!

Great house
A great house. Older with character, then updated for comfort. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet with lots of trees . Backyard space is nice, everything clean. Plenty of towels. . We will try to stay here again next time we are in Gainesville.

Loved our stay!
Well appointed and very chic. We hated to leave because we really enjoyed the house and the historic neighborhood. It was a great place to walk and convenient to our reasons for being in Gainesville. We will definitely stay here again.

Incredible home!
This house was everything that was promised to us and more! It was impeccably clean with high tech features. The house is charming and the neighborhood was quaint and peaceful. Our stay was incredibly comfortable and we had a great time. The beds were also very comfortable. We could not recommend this home more!

Fantastic House
We were so impressed by this house and the owner. I had trouble getting into the house and she answered right away and made sure I was able to get in. I am pretty picky about the properties I stay in and I will tell you that I would rent any property by this owner anywhere! The organization was amazing and the cleanliness spotless. I have stayed in a lot of VRBO's and never written a review. I felt this house deserved a stellar review from me.

Thank you Kathleen! We had a wonderful stay at your home in the Duckpond neighborhood of Gainesville! You were so easy to communicate with, and so attentive! Your home was clean and welcoming, the neighborhood was quiet and friendly. Thank you for all the thoughtful touches...the treats for our dogs, the treats for us, the endless towels, and the very comfy beds! The neighborhood was so nice to walk through with our dog, and the few people we saw were very friendly. We ate dinner closer to 1st and University and it was delicious! Kathleen will take very good care of you, don't hesitate to rent!

Cute House in a Great Location
The Duckpond cottage is located in the historic neighborhood of Duckpond. The house is super convenient to anything and everything that you might need. The house has a fenced in backyard and patio which allowed are little dog to roam around to his heart's content. The house was very clean and there was a lot of room. I especially like the small office off of the main bedroom. I look forward to staying again on my next trip to Gainesville.

Lovely & Comfortable Home Away from Home
This Duckpond house was the perfect place for my spouse and me to spend part of the holidays. There was plenty of room for us and our two dogs. The fenced in backyard and patio table allowed us to spend fun time outdoors. The house was super clean and the furnishings really are charming but also comfortable. A renovated and well-stocked kitchen was a great place to make meals. Kathleen, the host, made sure we had everything we needed. The location is central to many areas in Gainesville and is in walking distance to the Tom Petty Park, a Publix, and restaurants. I would give it 6 stars if I could!!

Lovely Home
My husband and I had a wonderful time in this lovely home! Kathleen was a gracious host and made us feel warmly welcomed upon our arrival. She was a good communicator and let us know she was available if we needed anything. We definitely hope to stay here again someday.

Beautiful home
The house is just perfect, super clean and remodeled with modern kitchen and bath. Super comfortable beds and furnishings too. I totally loved the fenced back patio and nice grassy areas for my dog. So convenient to the UF medical area too. Just an easy, safe, comfortable place to stay. Don’t pass it by!

This property is a beautiful craftsman cottage that has all the comforts of home!
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage very much. There is a lovely courtyard in the back to enjoy for coffee in the morning. The beds were very comfortable and the rain shower had fantastic water pressure. There were plenty of channels to stream shows on the tv if you want as well as coffee and amenities that aren’t always provided by the host. For example, shampoo/conditioner in the bath, trash bags and cleaning supplies in the kitchen, etc. The cottage was a lovely home and we would definitely stay again!

Everything we'd hoped for!
We were evacuated from the coast in Florida and looked for a home to stay in with our dogs for a few days. We arrived and everything was just as pictured, very clean, all the comforts of home. Since we did not leave our pups unattended at the home we enjoyed many walks in the neighborhood with them and that there were grocery stores close-by. I would highly recommend this home for your stay in Gainesville. Close to everything you need!

Best bungalow in Gainesville
The house is spotless, high tech, gorgeous and located in a delightful and quiet neighborhood. Every detail attended to. Walking distance to downtown. A fenced in area around bak allowed us to let our pet out to pee at night. This is helpful to pet owners and is not mentioned in the description. Seriously folks DO Not pass this one up. From entry to a wonderful nights rest in comfy beds this place rocks! We will be back for sure. This is the kind of place you say when you leave, “I could easily live here.”
