Texas Family Getaway
We attended a wedding for a family member. Found this place with a great price and great reviews. Overall a good location with close access to the beach. The mosquitos are no joke! There was no way we could enjoy the deck off of the master, or the patio area below the house. We were bitten so many times just loading up in the car every day. That of course has no reflection of the rental, but a warning to those who’ve never stayed here! The place was clean, but the toilet seat in the master wasn’t on correctly, it was half off the toilet. There was a broken lamp in room with the bunk beds and the outlets along the wall were completely exposed. Looked like the drywall had never been fixed, not very safe for little ones. The dishes weren’t super clean either, had to wash most before using and wish there were more hot pads. Overall a good place to stay and I would recommend to others. We had family staying in the area and the rentals they stayed in were more worn down and not as clean so I’d say we got a good deal. Communication with 979 was easy and they were super friendly! If ever visiting in the area again we would stay here.

Clean and close to beach
The house was clean and nicely decorated. The view off the back porch is great for bird-watching and from the front porch you can see the beach if you look at an angle. We enjoyed the proximity to the beach and drove easily to a beach access road where it was relatively quiet, considering it was spring break. The house included many games and since we had a chilly day we were able to stay in and play games with the family. The bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable, however, and I would recommend it be replaced. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Door Latch & keyless entry broken-not fixed for 2 days
Our door was open when we got there. The latch bolt would not come out. I tried to communicate to the rental company(on Friday) and they didn't respond until the next day. She texted that she fixed it on their end. We were at the beach so when we got back it wasn't fixed-again it won't work when the latch won't come out to close the door. Texted her this(Saturday) & didn't hear back until the next day. We had to leave the door unlocked & only secured with a box placed in front of the door to keep the door closed when we left for the beach or dinner 2out of 3 days. When they finally sent someone over (Sunday at noon)they had to fix the keyless entry & latch bolt-easy fix. It was just frustrating that it took them that long to get there. Our trip was over Monday. The dead bolt worked at night when we slept but again-we shouldn't have had to leave our belongings unsecured so we could enjoy the beach.....the house was good but very poor service from the rental company.

Nice and comfortable
The property was very nice. It is across the street from the beach, so we ended up driving to the beach in order to take our stuff. But the back of the house looks out on the marsh with lots of water birds and we enjoyed sitting out there. It was nice they had outdoor furniture. The appliances worked and we really didn't have any complaints. I would recommend bringing your own shampoo and conditioner because the containers they provide are very tiny.

Great for a quick getaway
We drove all the way from North Dallas and loved every minute of our stay. Walking distance to great beach time, short ride to water parks and attractions in Galveston and just a great relaxing time spent on either the deck in the front or back of the property. Would definitely like to come back to this property or any other owned by this company. Loved it!

Perfect location
Very nice home. Well equipped. Porch has a perfect view of the ocean for your morning coffee routine. Very spacious. Rooms were perfect size and beds were very comfortable. Definitely a comfortable stay.

Beautiful Home Away from Home!
We had a great experience! Home is perfect for a beach vacation! Three full bathrooms and cute decor!! Well stocked kitchen. Very clean and tidy. We enjoyed the two porches on front and back! Only suggestion would be to fix the squeaky bed in the master bedroom. Overall, we really had a nice time. We will be back!

Disappointing
The water pressure was a joke. All the water faucets need cleaning to allow ample water flow. The television situation was frustrating. We don't "stream channels" we would like to see normal broadcast stations like CBS, ABC, NBC. Is that so hard?

Very nice home at Surfside Beach!
We have stayed at several Surfside properties, but this was our favorite. It was wonderful to have 3 bedrooms AND 3 bathrooms. Home was very well equipped and comfortable. We brought our own griddle, but everything else was available in the kitchen. Enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the waves roll in and hearing the surf at night. Great place - highly recommend!
