Beautiful Place
This place was awesome! We enjoyed watching the deer while we were here. This place was close enough to town that when we needed more paper towels or trash bags we could easily go get more. I highly recommend this place.

Windows dirty. Cobwebs also. Needs some small minor repairs (cabinet door, tile in shower etc) and cleaning and would be perfect. Great location. Lots of deer. Private setting. Reasonable price. Shower tub a little hard to get in and out of.A walk in shower would be better. Driveway could be better. Would definately come back again.

Hidden Cabin getaway
Beautiful cozy relaxing cabin, beautiful stone & wood accents. The Jacuzzi was great. We purchased a bag of deer corn to feed the deer. Close to all the restaurants & downtown. Would definitely stay again.

2024 Eclipse Visit
It could not have been better. My wife and I spent a wonderful weekend in Fredericksburg for the 2024 Eclipse. We stayed at the Bird Point Cabin. The location is close enough to town not to feel far, but far enough to feel secluded and private. We really enjoyed our daily wildlife visitors, and I believe the deer really enjoyed the feed we provided. The house was very comfortable and we found everything we needed.

The house was awesome. Vrbo didn't handle my reservation properly i ask for two nights and they only signed me up for one night. Caused lot of confusion. And had to find somewhere else to stay for the second night. Very unhappy with vrbo at this point.

Amazing romantic stay
The perfect getaway house for my wife and I. Loved being secluded in the woods with deer around us. The house was gorgeous with a rustic feel that really immerses you. We loved the hot tub in the back with the privacy of the woods. We will definitely be coming back

The coffee pot did not work. Would have loved to drink coffee in the mornings while watching the deer. The can opener was broken. The kitchen window sill was full of dead flies! The views were stunning. The hot tub was very relaxing. The neighbor felt very safe.

When we arrived, the AC was not working property owner worked diligently to get it up and running by the second day. The cleaning fee is not being utilized by the property owner.

Excellent Romantic getaway
My wife and I stayed 4 days here for our 25 yr anniversary. 25 years is an exceptional number so you want something special you know! We were blown away by the settings of this cabin. It was beautiful all the way around. We spent a large portion of our stay on the back deck enjoying the exceptional weather for south Texas. Be sure to bring deer corn as there will be plenty of deer in your view. The hot tub was an added luxury for the evening. We would definitely stay here again if we make it back that way!

Beautiful Location
This property and location was absolutely beautiful! My girlfriend and I loved the seclusion away from town but also close enough to enjoy the restaurants. It's a perfect 1 bedroom cabin, the jetted tub is amazing as is the hot tub. The few cons were the lock on the patio door was difficult to understand at first and we worried that it wasn't locked properly. We also had some missing light bulbs in the bathroom and the blinds weren't usable for us in the bathroom as they were falling apart. With that though we'd love to stay here again! 😊

My Wife and I love the location , and the privacy. The deer were an xtra joy to watch and feed. The cabin was beautiful and only two miles to town. The property management were easy to contact and communicate with.

A must stay!
Amazing place, enjoyed the seclusion from town. Water heater went out but the owners had it fixed in a few hours. Even offered to let us shower at their home. Great place and great hospitality!

Almost a Perfect Cabin
The cabin was a perfect size for 2 people. The location was perfect — not too far from town but far enough to be surrounded by trees and nature. The back porch was the best part — you can sit there all day and let your worries disappear. The only issues we had were more of an inconvenience type of stuff. It looked like the cabin started out as a great idea with great expense going to the overall structure but fell very short when it came to the details. All the interior doors were miss-aligned and didn't close properly or didn't close at all. The vanity in the bathroom was made for one person in a cabin designed for two. The vanity mirror is very small and not an appropriate size. The tub is a little difficult to get into and definitely needs some grab bars for safety. A soap dish on the vanity and one on the tub might not be a bad idea. A few clothes hooks in the bathroom would be nice. Maybe add some cheap coasters in the living room to place your drinks. Cleaning the spider webs in the corners will help with the appearance. The one thing this cabin really needs is a patio area where we city folks can sit and stargaze. We only see stars every few years when we get away from the city. I got to see the stars for a few minutes but I ended up with a load of chiggers because I had to stand in the tall grass — yes, it was worth it. With all that said — will I rent this place again? Yes.

Beautiful cabin but…
The cabin itself is beautiful. Very quiet and secluded. Upon arrival we found the cabin unlocked. I had to call the property manager to figure out where the key was. Inside the cabin is where we had the main issues. The bed was the worst we’ve ever slept in at. It folds in the middle and the pillows reminded me of the paper ones in a hospital. We found a roach within an hour of being there and there’s literally roach bait sitting on the kitchen counter. The hot tub is in disrepair, the head rests are all busted off and it wasn’t clean. It also cycled off every 15 minutes. It’s not a very cozy place. It needs a rug or two on the floor, maybe a throw blanket or two, enough towels and wash cloths for your stay as we only had one a piece for 2 nights. And don’t plan on sleeping in because there’s plastic blinds on the windows, no curtains, and nothing covering the glass on the door in the bedroom. It fell short of our expectations to say the least. However, we did love the deer, it was quiet and private and we made the best of it.

Beautiful scenery
Bird point cabin was secluded in a beautiful spot. We were a short 5-10 minute drive from Main St. We had a ton of visiting deer and enjoyed the feel of being away from town. The cabin had everything we needed, but we did feel the cleanliness was lacking. It was apparent that the floors had not been cleaned in sometime. Several bath towels were stained. We felt the bedroom door to the patio would have benefited from having some curtains or a blinds option. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
