Esta casa fluvial se encuentra en el río Monocacy, con una hermosa vista abierta del río y el campo de batalla nacional Antietam en la orilla opuesta. El centro de Frederick, Maryland, está a solo 4,8 km y ofrece una gran variedad de restaurantes, pubs, cervecerías, tiendas y actividades culturales. Su escapada podría ser disfrutar de la vista panorámica, derivar río abajo o dirigirse al centro de Frederick para divertirse. Trae tus cañas de pescar! Hay 3 unidades disponibles en River House, con este estudio privado ocupando una parte del primer piso. El estudio tiene su propia terraza grande dedicada para el entretenimiento, a pocos pasos de distancia, que ofrece maravillosas vistas del río. No hay una vista directa del agua desde la habitación. Los pisos de madera noble Hickory brillan con puertas de pino personalizadas y armarios de cedro. Esta nueva construcción incluye una cocina con horno microondas, refrigerador y cafetera. Este acogedor estudio tiene un gran baño completo con combinación de bañera / ducha, una cama tamaño queen y un cómodo sofá convertible con capacidad para 4 adultos. También hay acceso gratuito a una lavadora y secadora estándar. Las mascotas son bienvenidas por un cargo adicional, pero deben ser embaladas cuando estén desatendidas.

Hemos tenido algunos problemas con el ruido de la Villa (segundo piso), lo que dificulta que los huéspedes de las dos unidades inferiores puedan dormir. Por lo tanto, hay un toque de queda excesivo de ruido a las 11 pm para la Villa cuando cualquiera de las unidades inferiores está ocupada. Además, recientemente instalamos varios cientos de pies cúbicos de aislante amortiguador de sonido de celulosa en el techo de esta unidad para remediar el problema.

Outstanding Host!!
From the very start of our booking, Mr. Bartlett was a fantastic host who went above and beyond for us. Due to a scheduling error on the part of the website, NOT the host, we weren't sure we could keep the initial reservation. However, Joe was right on top of it and ensured we had a place to stay at the house, without any hassle to us. The home was gorgeous, and the view of the river, even in late September, was the perfect getaway for my wife and I's trip. Anything we needed, and any questions we had were quickly answered and/or fixed, without question, or argument, and with absolute professionalism. Joe(Mr. Bartlett) could not have been a better host, and my birthday weekend could not have been a better trip. If I am ever back in this area, I know exactly who I will be contacting for another reservation. Thank you, Joe, The Kindsvaters.

Nice place on the river
Location is great. It sits in a secluded part of Frederick along the Monacacy River. If you wanted restaurants, businesses or downtown Frederick they all were plentiful and less than 8 miles away. I was there for my Godson’s confirmation and ask Joe if I can have some family over for a small barbecue. He was understanding and permitted it but just said respect the neighbors space. It was a good size yard with a fire pit and scenery of the river. There is a charcoal grill provided for barbecue cooking. Room was adequate for relaxation and a place to sleep. The air conditioner worked great.

Not Happy
Place was not clean. Towels were dingy and frayed. The air was musty. The only place to sit was on the edge of the bed or on a bar stool because the futon was broken and was laying flat. The listing was confusing because it showed pictures of a porch that was not part of our unit. I had to call the manager 15 minutes before check in because he had not given me key codes etc. I had rented the unit for one week. I left after two days and checked into a nearby hotel for the remainder of my week costing me additional expenses.

Quaint and quiet
We were staying in Frederick for a wedding and opted for a rental instead of hotel. It was a nice stay. Quiet area, nice view of the Monocacy river from the deck, and close to shopping/food. I would definitely stay here again, but next time I’d choose one of the rentals facing the river.

Simple Overnight Stay
We only slept here and spent about 2 hrs outside the property overlooking the Creek. Extremely noisy upstairs tenants but thankfully we were exhausted from visiting Frederick and returned rather late from a wedding. Although we did not bring our dog (and have yet to receive a refund) we are happy we didn't! The tenant noise would have caused the dog to yelp loudly if he was left alone. getting to the location was via a secret single lane trail. The owner was a bit tardy with giving location and instructions regarding the secret single lane entrance.

OK if all you want is a room to sleep in
Close to everything in Frederick, MD. - Great Host wont give check in info until a few hours before check in time so you have to stop, find a wifi hotspot and check your email before you arrive. - Unacceptable Dishes are not microwave safe but guests have been using them in the microwave so they seem dirty. - Unacceptable Only one hand towel and no washcloths. - Unacceptable We only got the Dish TV network to work once. - Unacceptable If anyone is in the room above you the noise is quite bad but we got lucky and they went to bed about the same time we did.

A great stay for a weekend!
Flew in from Detroit for the Memorial Day weekend to see my wife's 93 year old aunt. We selected the small unit but it was sufficient and provided a great place to sleep and relax in between visits with the aunt. The deck overlooking the river was a great plus. Highly recommend if you're looking for a weekend retreat. Joe was a great host and was quick to reply to any questions we had.

Has potential
This place has potential. Unfortunately, there were a lot of things that were lacking and others that weren’t consistent with the information in the listing. We messaged the host in the morning on the date that we were checking in to advise about our arrival time and get check in information. Our flight arrived six hours later and I still hadn’t received the property address or check in information. I called the host. He seemed confused about my arrival, as if he though it was a different day. He did send the information immediately after my phone call. Unfortunately, I realized when we arrived that the information he sent didn’t include which unit I was checking into. I had to call again. We finally got into the unit and we’re about to go to bed around 11pm when the smoke alarm started beeping. It wasn’t a good first impression. He came the next day and replaced it and it didn’t beep after that. Some things to consider taking with you when you stay here. The only kitchen supplies are a few plastic plates, a couple mismatched pieces of cheap silverware, a couple coffee cups, and a couple random cooking items. There is a microwave but no microwave safe cookware or plates. There is a coffee maker and some coffee and tea. That’s it. If you want to use the kitchen for breakfast and reheating fiod, you will need to bring some microwave safe cookware, some bowls for cereal, a can opener, a knife, food storage pieces, sugar and cream for coffee, and garbage bags. Some additional things to note. The air conditioner is programmed to only go down to 72 degrees. It was 84 when we arrived. There are no screens so you can’t open the windows and there aren’t any fans. The front door is shared by three units and the other guests kept leaving the front door unlocked. The only other security door is a hollow core bedroom door for the unit. It seemed like there was no soundproofing between the units. We could hear EVERYTHING in the other units. The upstairs guest came home at 2 am a few nights and we were woken up and kept awake while he walked above us. We ended up wearing headphones during the day and earplugs at night to sleep. The exterior of the building is in poor shape. There is a fallen tree in the front yard and there are a bunch of bugs flying around. It is very muddy if it rains. Hope this helps another guest.

Great for short term visit.
Property needs some work, especially ourside. Decaying fallen trees, black walnuts all over, which roll when stepped on. I almost fell a couple of times. The location is absolutely beautiful. When people are in upstairs you can hear every footstep. Sounds like they are coming through the ceiling. Overall rating it is a nice place that just needs some work. I would stay again because it is pet friendly and there is room for my furbabies to run and play. It is also a safe and quiet place.

No cooking facility except microwave. One had to eat out unless you grill. I'm not a grilled.
Beautiful location. Variety of restaurants nearby. Wish it had a toaster oven or something to prepare a meal other than microwave. The unit was extremely small but served my needs. I'm renting it again but will be better prepared for longer stay. Property is absolutely beautiful.

Good place for the price
This area is very expensive and has a lot of recent growth. Staying in Fredrick proper, or Harpers Ferry costs a lot more than staying here. We were in the studio apartment. It was clean, the bed was comfortable. The swing on the deck is a quiet pretty place to sit in the morning with coffee. The location itself is ok, but it is behind a large business park. It is not easy to find. We spent an afternoon in Fredrick, a morning in Harpers Ferry, and hiked on the Appalachian trail one afternoon. Overall it was a great place for these activities and a two night stay. Fishing on the river is difficult as the banks are steep. Good place for the price.

I can't say enough great things about this property. I have stayed in all 3 spaces in this home. If you enjoy beautiful settings I promise you will be wowed. Convenient to all that Frederick has to offer. Joe the property manager is great!

What I Was Expecting
First I want to say that for the price this is a good deal. I also need to be clear that if you are expecting to pay this price and get a big house with lots of space and high speed internet and TV with unlimited channel selections you may want to reconsider. I was a little disappointed with the lack of hot water because it was just enough for 2 people doing a quick shower. And I said about the internet it may be high speed but we could not watch Netflix or any other internet TV because of the bandwidth. Noise can be a problem if other people are there because the room door is hollow core. Now I need to say that other than the tub not being very clean everything else was and we enjoyed our stay. Joe was quick to respond to any questions and the bed was very comfortable. Nice to walk around the back and see the river. Very quiet setting and secluded. It served our purpose and we were comfortable, plus it didn't break the bank.

Bargain on the Monocacy
The property manager was friendly and responsive. The river view from the swing in the yard on a gorgeous fall day was delightful. The lighting over the bathroom vanity was better than I've experienced in luxury hotels. The unit had every required element. It wasn't the Ritz, but it was a Five Star bargain at the price, and we would return.

Our quiet retreat!

Great location
This location is very convenient to restaraunts, stores, etc. yet it is tucked away in a private, serene setting. We loved watching the deer, rabbits, and squirrels. The studio provided ample space for us and Joe was very easy to communicate with.

Cozy, clean and comfy
Very nicely updated and exactly as advertised. Wonderful scents of fresh wood throughout. Bathroom upgrade still pending (and definitely needed). Hot water does not last long enough for two to shower back to back (we do not take long showers). The dedicated thermostat did not seem to work. Air conditioning was on when we arrived and though we switched it to "off", it kept running. The bed was very comfortable! The cabin was VERY difficult to find even with the directions, so more specific turn by turns about taking a small road off the back of an industrial parking lot would be helpful. It was nice to have the dedicated deck overlooking the river, but the weather did not cooperate for our stay so we could not take advantage. A roof or overhang to shield the weather would be a nice addition and a privacy screen from the neighbor's porch would also make this spot a nice place for an evening cocktail in any season. Overall, was a clean comfy place to sleep, but did not spend much other time enjoying the amenities due to the weather and our schedule.
