Great Place to Visit
The house is always clean and neat. The owner's attention to detail and knowledge of the local area is amazing. If relaxation is your goal this is the place to be. We will continue to visit in the future.

Our relaxing visit
When we arrived at the cottage, we were thrilled with the location, the curb appeal, and the friendly greeting from one of the owners. The property is immaculate and on entry to the cottage we were, again, beyond happy. The decor, the accommodations, the furniture were so beautiful, comfortable and well thought out. Our daily visits from Tucker just made Newt, my dog, so happy. We had a delightful, relaxing visit And definitely hope to return soon.

Perfection!
It’s hard to find words other visitors haven’t used. Perfect spot, location and pride of ownership. You can’t go wrong renting from Mike & Sam…. Tucker too. We will return and stay much longer. We know our dogs enjoyed their stay….they didn’t want to go home. Mike & Sam have thought of everything! We hope to be return visitors soon… it’s that perfect!

2nd time stay, still wonderful!
Love the location and respite from the heat of Hilton Head. Our Black Labrador was in doggie heaven with the cool mountain air and fields of grass to roll and romp in. Great front porch to relax on with an adult beverage, and Mike & Sam are great hosts. We will be back!

A little spot of Heaven in NC
What a cozy, little spot tucked into the Nantahala National Forest area of NC! Definitely a gem of a find. Needed a getaway from the hustle and bustle and a base for some day trips around southern NC. The 10 hour drive to get there was well worth it. Set on a hill with a great outdoor fire pit, two porches, a picnic table, and lots of trees around a green lawn. Such a pleasant place to return to at the end of a hot day with the cooler temps of the shaded property in the late afternoon. Beautifully appointed front porch for early morning coffee sipping in the rocking chairs, as well as the perfect dining table to eat our meals cooked in the full kitchen. Short drive to several great little towns like Franklin, NC, to the north, and down to Clayton, GA, for groceries, restaurants, and cute shops. I only wish we had spent more time just relaxing at the house, which is what we did the last full day. We played the backgammon game provided living room out on the porch and took walks. Being Independence Day, who needed fireworks when we had popping fire embers, fireflies, and stars! Best part by far that made our experience feel extra special at The Guest House was the attention to the details around the rooms and the care the hosts extended in making sure we were comfortable. Plenty of towels and firewood on hand and good communication. Oh, and Tucker even came for a quick visit! Loved it so much, we’ve already booked another visit and plan to just enjoy the peace and quiet!

Outstanding Property
This is the second time for my wife and I stayed at the "Quest House". The reasons we came back is the first visit provided us with a super relaxing visit. The Guest House is located in a scenic quiet setting in the mountains of Franklin NC that provided us an opportunity to relax & unwind. Owners Mike and Sam are gracious hosts that can't seem to do enough for their guests. Unfortunately, the scale only 5 Stars because we give it a 10+. House was very clean and well stocked with all you would need for a great stay. Highly - Highly recommend!!

Our New Favorite
This is by far the best VRBO stay my husband and I have ever experienced. The hosts, Mike & Sam, went above and beyond and even greeted us upon our arrival to see if we had any questions. The cabin is beautiful, well-maintained, and nestled alongside a serene creek. When we walked into cabin, there was a handwritten note, brownies, and a bottle of wine. The property was fully equipped with anything we could have needed or wanted for our stay, and immaculately clean. 10/10. The property is desirably located between Franklin and Highlands, and is nearby to numerous hiking spots, grocery stores, etc. We will be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Quality Hosts and Home
Mike and Sam are truly genuine good people. They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We loved everything about this property. It is so peaceful and secluded. The mountain views are gorgeous! The grounds are immaculate. Inside the home there is quality everywhere; the furnishings in the home and even the porch, the art, the towels, sheets and even the rugs!! The attention to detail is everywhere you look. Beautiful cottage in lovely mountain setting
The Guest House is a gem. It is so cozy, clean, well stocked kitchen, and beautifully decorated. It’s hard to leave the front porch. Sam, Mike and Tucker are wonderful hosts. Thank you for the delicious blueberry muffins and wine. Look forward to returning in the spring!

I stayed 4 nights with my parents and my dog. We had a wonderful time. The house is cozy and the property is amazing. We had everything we needed. It’s close to town and to visiting other towns like Highlands and Cashiers. We really enjoyed meeting Sam, Mike and of course Tucker. Hope to visit again next year!

Slice of Mountain Heaven
The quintessential mountain cottage! This quaint cottage sits on it's own little slice of mountain heaven. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. From relaxing on the front porch to the sounds of the stream, watching the deer and turkey, and visits from our friend Tucker, we had a very relaxing getaway. The cottage is appointed very well, decorated perfectly, and was immaculate. Our campfire was even set up for us when we arrived! We so enjoyed getting to know Sam and Mike over cocktails and great conversation! Thank you so much for making our stay a very wonderful experience and for being wonderful human beings. Ready To Come Back Already!
5-star reviews is not enough to express how amazing this "guest house" is! From booking through departure, our communication was proactive and responsive. Sam and Mike are fabulous and made sure the house was immaculate, ready for us ahead of schedule, and all the added special touches made it feel immediately like home. The house is cozy and private, quiet and serene, and we enjoyed every minute we spent there and during our time exploring Franklin. Tucker was as charming as described and got along just fine with our pup, Charlie. I cannot express how relaxed we felt on this gorgeous property. Mornings with coffee were greeted with a family of deer two mornings, and night with nightcaps ended the evenings next to the fire pit. We cannot wait to return! Thank you, Sam, Mike and Tucker!!!

Beautiful cabin
What a beautiful cabin in a peaceful area with great mountain views. We loved sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs. We loved how the cabin is decorated and the Christmas lights were beautiful! It's so quiet that you can hear the little creek running beside the cabin. Sam and Mike were so kind and nice. They even left bottled water in the refrigerator and a bottle of wine and homemade blueberry pound cake for us, which was amazing! We loved visits from their dog Tucker. What a sweet dog! Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend this property. We would definitely stay again.
