Peaceful retreat
Perfect peaceful retreat for my family for a week as we were in town for a funeral. Everything was as pictured and promised. Beds super comfy. Appreciated the large table that can seat atleast 6, it's something we look for when renting. If we were here for fun purposes and playing board games, wouldn't mind there being chairs instead of the benches. The laundry machine is nice though loud when running, we just made sure to run when leaving house. We will keep this in mind should we need to be back to visit family. It did snow about 3-4"while we were here, adding a shovel and little can of salt might be nice for winter. (I didn't ask host for it as we were too focused on getting safely to funeral). Beautiful views, an eagle was spotted several days. Wish it had been warm enough to try out the provided kayaks. It was a lovely stay, clean, and had a helpful host - look no further for your next rental.

Lake House on Fox Lake
The cottage was fabulous. Everything we needed was there. Nicely decorated & we felt welcomed. It was wonderful having family members by the lake & share time at a fire pit. Our relatives live locally & it was a nice place to meet and chat. The Owner happened to pass by and she was lovely. We highly recommend this lake house to others.

Nice & Tranquil Location - Note There are 4 Units
We traveled in for a wedding from AZ and booked this location to be right off the Fox Lake, enjoy some quiet time, eat good food and spend the day/night fishing with a fire. While this was the case for 90% of our stay - we did not realize that the home we were staying in was one of four units selected. Luckily, we received the last home before the lake, which was nice - but we did not anticipate sharing any amenities given the description of the property. Everyone in the other three units were very nice and we enjoyed their company; we just felt a bit misled on the listing description. Please keep this in mind when booking your stay. Otherwise, it was a great time. Close to food, bars, and obviously ideal for fishing/boating. The only reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is due to the description and how we felt misled.

Very nice place, well kept and updated.
We enjoyed our stay. Unit was really nice and updated. It was well equipped with towels, coffee, basic salt and seasonings, etc. Out front are several chairs to enjoy the waterfront. I highly recommend this place.

Labor Day weekend
Cottage is located on a small peninsula. There are many extras on site such as sand toys, corn hole boards, fire pits, propane grill, tricycles, kayaks and life jackets. Knowing all of this ahead of time would have reduced our packing. The cottage was extremely clean and had a good amount of dishes, utensils, cookware, grilling needs etc. Very pleased.

Great location
Overall excellent. It got a little warm at night. Afew degrees cooler at night on the AC would be good. The soap bars didn't lather very well in the shower. Glad we brought our own. The dock was great to have for our boat.

We came to Fox Lake to visit our oldest son and his family who live on Fox River. The rental was really cute and clean. It had everything we needed plus the extras like kayaks and life preservers, puzzles and games. We had a great time.

Our family returned to stay at bungalow number four, for the third summer in a row. Our family loves this place! It is always so clean and tidy, and it has everything family of six needs for a fun vacation getaway. Kayaks, fishing, swimming, floating, barbecue pit, bonfire… It just has everything! Jim and Diane are so wonderful and helpful to, they come by to make sure that everything is in order for you. We even got to meet the owner Mark Dennis! He was a very nice man, and he too made sure that we had a wonderful comfortable stay. We surely look forward to coming back again, probably next June!

The owners put a huge emphasis on providing the essentials people may need while away from home like laundry soap pods, linens, towels, q-tips, as even make-up removal cloths. We will most def be back.

Very nice property on Fox Lake
The property was a joy to stay at! The house is updated with newer appliances and is kept very clean. No dust settling here! The best part is the amazing view of Fox Lake.

Wonderful!!!
This property is as if your favorite relative let you stay at their lakefront property and everything you could want or need was there. The beds were so comfortable, the sheets so soft, the house was so clean and well-appointed. It was just glorious. I have a friend in the area that I visit about once a year and I will be sure to book this property again. The views breathtaking! You can see all the love and care the owners put into it and it feels like a beautiful seconds home. Thank you for a most excellent vacation! xo
