Encantadora casa de campo completamente renovada, de cuatro dormitorios, unifamiliar, en el corazón de Destin. ¡La decoración encantadora de la playa complacerá a todos! Esta excelente casa cuenta con cuatro habitaciones, baños de dos cuartos y mucho más. Duerme hasta doce personas. Cocina totalmente equipada, lavandería en la cabaña y área de comedor separada.


Esta comunidad cerrada de Mainsail ofrece playas privadas de arena blanca en la costa del Golfo ... en la Costa Esmeralda. Camine hasta la playa: menos de 100 yardas SIN CAMINOS PARA CRUZAR. Se incluyen dos piscinas (una climatizada) con co-
piscinas para niños ubicadas. Servicio de playa para dos (sombrilla y dos sillas) a diario sin cargo adicional. Convenientemente ubicado con acceso a tiendas, restaurantes y lugares de entretenimiento a poca distancia. Tranquilo durante los meses de invierno para una escapada tranquila!

INFORMACIÓN ADICIONAL DE ALQUILER:
* Depósito y pago: la tarifa de limpieza de $ 150 se retendrá del depósito después de la salida. Depósito de $ 500 para bloquear el tiempo deseado, el pago total debe pagarse 60 días antes del check-in o el arrendatario pierde el depósito y el tiempo se desbloqueará. El depósito será devuelto después del check-out, salvo que no haya ocurrido ningún daño a la propiedad. Awesome Property & Location!
Location is key and this property hits the target. Short walk to the beach and shops needed such as Winn Dixie are right down the road. Chris was always quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Nothing negative to say about The Drake!

Great location and home
Very nice home with many updates. The master bathroom was very large and nice. The house was very close to beach as well as many places to shop. We Loved their was an Alvin’s Beach store and Dollar store within a 5 min walk, outlets were across the road. Also the kids loved how close Chick-fil-A was. When we go back to this area I would stay here again. The only problem was it was so beautiful we all got way to much sun.

Great!
Nice place, good value. Property owner was very responsive and flexible when we had a travel issue. We enjoyed that the complex had multiple pools, and we could walk to the beach without crossing a street.

Amazing!!
This house was perfect for our family! Lots of room for everyone. We were a party of 12. 6 adults, 2 teens and 4 kids. The kitchen is hands down the best stocked I’ve seen for a rental with everything you could need and more for meal preparation. Comfortable beds (soft but supportive) which is a big deal to us. Lovely furnishings and lots of towels for the house and beach. Wonderful location!!! The best lot on the resort. Private and quiet! Just under a 2 minute walk to the beach. Loved the perks of the lounge chairs and Umbrellas for sitting on the beach. There’s a good restaurant and bar just .6 miles west on the beach. Communication with Chris great and always was prompt when I had a question or concern. We all definitely felt at home and enjoyed our stay. Will be back!!

Enjoyable place to vacation
Finding a place to accommodate 12 family members ranging in age from 3 to 71 is not always an easy task with a limited budget. No place will ever be perfect, but we had very few complaints. One mattress was much harder than one couple was used to at home. The upstairs bedrooms, particularly the one that receives direct sunlight from the balcony, would be more comfortable if they could be cooler at night. This property was clean and as advertised with all equipment in good working order. Overall, we were very pleased and plan to return next summer.

First family vaca
The location of the house to the beach is awesome,only a short walk. All the beds were comfortable and the house is well stocked. We had several issues with the internet and cable. We did not have cable for three days and never really had internet the entire visit. The owners were great to communicate but we feel that something in the property kept us from even using our cellular data,we could not use cell phones when searching without the use of WiFi. Chris was good to call the cable company but he issue was never resolved. The house is located close the Winn Dixie and across the street from the Silver Sands Outlet Mall. Our family enjoyed out stay at cottage # 41.

Pleasant stay.
Pleasant stay for our family with two little grandchildren. Close to the beach and walking distance to shopping center and grocery store. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking pots. The actual price is higher than what is advertised as it also includes other fees such as cleaning, service and tax.

Great Location
The house was lovely and the owner was very responsive. The location is great and we really loved the patio and outdoor furniture. Sheets were not provided for the couch bed which created some angst, but the owner resolved by the second night. There was no BBQ grill on site for customer use which made cooking for 12 people more difficult than we wanted!

Great Location for the Price, Some Improvements Necessary
Honest review, for being Covid certified, it was not super clean. We killed 3 cockroaches, all in the kitchen. We wiped down the kitchen countertops with Clorox wipes ourselves. The cupboards could be wiped out too, as there was lots of crumbs and such. It was really close to the beach which was very nice. Bathrooms were clean. They also have a lot of cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc., which was great because we didn’t want to go out to eat and cooked pretty much every night. The beds were super comfy and there was ample space for our group of 11. However, when you first walk in and turn on a light, you definitely notice all the light switches were filthy. Like black crud all in them. The guy (Chris) was super wonderful. Very kind and laid back. So many locked spaces though. It was kind of weird. Can’t use the garage either. They keep that locked. Only sheets available, no extra blankets that I found. Really annoying that you can only set the thermostat down to 72°. It was hotter upstairs and it was only 75-80° outside. I can’t imagine how hot it would get up there when it’s 85-90°. If you like to sleep in a colder house, this is not for you. Even hotels let you adjust the thermostat. There’s a locked BBQ grill on the patio and something somewhere was mentioned about cleaning and covid and not being able to use it. We wanted to grill the steaks we brought and so I messaged Chris’ wife and offered a deposit to use it. She actually said, “Oh geez” there’s a grill by the pool. It was kind of condescending in my opinion. Why have a grill that no one can use? Especially when it’s in photos of the property you’re promoting? And who wants to walk that far with a plate full of steaks? It wasn’t terribly far, but far enough when you’re carrying food and all the spices, fixings, etc., while you’re cooking. Apparently it’s a new grill they don’t want to use yet so they keep it there. They live next door. I even tried knocking on the door twice, because Chris told me he lived right next door so feel free to come over if you need anything. Both times I knocked no one answered. That’s when I messaged his wife and I got “Oh geez”. Overall, it wasn’t awful, but a few things they could fix that would improve the space dramatically. Clean better, give your guests a grill they can actually use that’s ON the property, and if you say you’re available, be available, and let people set the thermostat to what makes them comfortable.

The house is very nice but I would not stay in the summer upstairs was hot. We stay in spring break my daughter said it was hot. My grand son slept with us down stairs because it was hot. I would bring fans.

This was a last minute rescheduling due to hurricane Sally, but based on the reviews on VRBO I had higher expectations. The location was not terrible, a short walk to the beach. We did have a complimentary beach chair and umbrella set up and the young man taking care of that was extremely kind and helpful. But the main complaints that both I, and my entire party, had were, #1 The thermostat is locked and will not cool below 72 degrees. It is warm and humid even in September and we were all hot throughout the night. My husband and I even ended up at Ace hardware purchasing electric fans for the upstairs bedrooms because no one could sleep with the temperature upstairs. #2 is the old, worn out, uncomfortable mattresses in all of the bedrooms. I was so embarrassed, because I was the one who had booked this property. But every single bed needs to be replaced. #3 The people that work in the security gate were very rude. They tried to tell us we couldn't have 4 vehicles for our rental, after the owner had already said that we could. #4 The stove heats up the entire downstairs area while cooking and the refrigerator doors don't close well. #5 Our group decided to go to the smaller pool to take our 2 yr grandson to swim. There had not been a single person at this pool for 2 days, but within 10 minutes of our family getting into the pool, 2 HOA members show up and watch our every move for about 30 minutes. One makes a phone call and then they both get up and leave the pool area. So I guess that we passed their inspection. One more thing, I noticed another review had said how incredibly clean the floors were, but that was not what we experienced. I honestly hate to leave bad reviews, but I DO read reviews and base my decision to rent a property based on other renters experiences. I am still wondering how the previous reviews were so extremely opposite of what we experienced. We all have different opinions, but I can honestly say that I would never stay here again.

Best play to stay and play for a family vacay!!!
We were impressed from the moment we arrived. The house was immaculate!. We all take our shoes off at the door and later that evening when we were getting the kids ready for bed, their feet were still clean! The yard and surroundings were perfect for little ones to play outside. The pools were clean, the grounds were beautiful, just a short walk to the beach, and the beach amenities were the best we've experienced anywhere.

Reeeeealy like this place!
Love the location! This cottage is right between the two pools and the two bbq areas making both easy to access. Yard behind the cottage with grass to play in and great patio space with furniture. Tennis court and gym very close. Short and simple walk to the beach. Spacious rooms with decently comfy beds but could use darkening shades as the morning sun beams brightly into 3 of the rooms waaay to early for vacay! Only complaint... Been visiting Destin each year for 20 years and 17 of those years were at Mainsail. I can only remember two times that we left some of our belongings behind. Both times were at Mainsail cottages and both times we tried but could not retrieve our belongings. So be very careful not to leave anything behind besides great memories!!!!

June 2019 stay
Just enjoyed a week with family- 5 adults and 5 kids. Wonderful time, great location with easy beach access and still close to everything we wanted and needed. This property is on the end and felt semi-private which was a perk we didn’t expect. Also was nice to have an expanded patio and some lawn area behind us for the kids to play. The rooms were bigger than the photos show and we didn’t feel cramped at all. Would definitely book this exact property again. One thing to note- although the entry system is by keypad and thereby convenient, we had a 1 year old who found it quite easy to exit the house from the inside 😳 Kind of wish there would have been a deadbolt available but not a dealbreaker.
