Our stay was definitely not what we were expecting.
The area: The resort is a gated community; however, the surrounding area is located in the slums, with Dollar Discount, Rainbows, even the Dunkin' was swamped with unfriendly people. If we needed to go to a store, we ventured to Dr. Lauderdale. Won't be staying in this area again. Also, when we were by the pool one night there was a group of around 5-6 people with many kids. They had numerous suitcases and didn't appear to belong in the resort. The gentleman was yelling on the phone talking about DCF. No offense, not what I want to hear on vacation.
Staff: Nothing but harassing and RUDE. When we checked in, the front desk was friendly, HOWEVER, they then make you go to the other set of desks to get your room key where the time share staff then harass you to by a time share. We mentioned that we were only staying for 4 nights, and we were not interested nor had the time to sit in on the presentation. The gentleman then continued to harass, calling daily and even stopping us in the hallway. Such a turn off. The bartender (woman with tattoos) and cleaning staff - SUPER rude. The bartender was not friendly, with no social skills whatsoever. On our last day, the cleaning woman knocked on our door and didn't even give us a second to open the door when she barged in, asking if we were leaving that day. UNACCEPTABLE.
Cleanliness: My son got a UTI, which is believed to be from the hot tub.
