“This was a return visit for us and our dog. It's a lovely location, with scenic walks for the dog, aubreys restaurant for us and the activities and family disco for the little one. Our Heartwood lodge was spotless and the doggie welcome pack was very much appreciated (our dog loved the little rope toy!) “The room was large and generally comfortable but smelled stale - as if it had been closed up for a while. The bed was two singles zipped together and so very uncomfortable in the middle. The shower head was so disgusting we didn't have a shower and the tiles were cracked and coming away from the wall. The towels smelled musty and the toiletbrush was awful! One of the windows in the bedroom had swollen and so couldn't be closed properly.”

“We found Riverside Lodge delightful, inside and out. Very peaceful and a pretty setting, with constant birdsong, visiting ducks, scampering squirrels, wandering deer and an evening flyby from a kingfisher. We went out less than we normally would because it was a treat to be lazy there, especially as we’d splashed out on the hot tub.
