When we put the heating on it would make a noise, but nothing happened. We left the building and asked them to repair it when we were out. After a text reassuring them we had the dog, and the heating guy could go in we received a text ten minutes later saying it had been fixed. When we went back that evening it was exactly the same. I don't think anyone had been round at all. We contacted them again and they said he would be round that evening (Friday). We spent our Friday evening waiting in for the guy to fix it. He couldn't fix it said he didn't have the parts and wouldn't have them until Monday. We went out for a long walk Monday and we were looking forward to getting back and relaxing, the second we got in the guy was at the door. We said it wasn't convenient and he got quite belligerent and nasty at us like we were causing a problem to him. He went away and a few minutes later the Vacasa agent phoned us and told us he was fully booked up and that this was his only chance to fix it. The last day of our holiday was ruined along with the Friday night and all the nights without heating (Wednesday to Sunday). They were more concerned with accommodating the heating guy than their guests on the final day of their holiday. We have since been negotiating compensation they said they are refunding 400 dollars. Their pricing system charges a lower rate per night compared to other properties in the area but higher host fees so the total cost looks similar. However, the refund if received will only amount to 1.5 days recompensed. They ruined the first holiday we've had in 4 years, and we had grief from a bolshy maintenance guy. Not a nice way to end your holiday.
