Beautiful and convenient

My room had a spectacular view, it was clean and spacious. The hotel is nice and easy to find. The staff kind. I would go back there. Edda hotels=👍

Still dreaming of this place.

This hotel is simple but well cared for. Amazing view of the fjord from our window. The staff was young and friendly and helpful. Not a fancy place to stay, but clean and bright. Not far from a park where you can walk a trail through wildflowers to a metal ladder down to a sea cave. Absolutely beautiful area. And visit the bait shack for a drink. Look over the dock to see starfish scattered in the water.

Fit my needs. Loved it.

1 night stay passing through the east fjords. Room was very basic with no tv but for the price, location, and view it was excellent. Common areas to sit in lobby and small kitchen was able to use toaster and microwave.

Excellent view of the fjord from our window. In June fun to watch all the little ducklings at the shore swim around with their moms/dads. Got some great midnight sun photos...Hotel staff very friendly and welcoming.

Nope.

I fully understand rates rise during high season in Iceland and add to this, rates rise more during music festivals (as was happening in Neskaupstaðir during my stay). Not a problem. That said, the rate for the very small, hostel like room, with an incredibly tiny bathroom was absolutely extortionate with the bonus of not even coffee or tea included. Never again.

Great manager!

The hotel manger went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. Although this a high school boarding location it was well presented and maintained as hotel. Good place to stay - rooms have a waters edge view of the magnificent fjord.

Schöne Lage - einfache Ausstattung

Wir waren 2 Nächte im Edda Hotel in Neskaupstadir. Die Lage und die Aussicht auf den Fjörd ist traumhaft. Man ist auch schnell im Ort. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich. Es handelt sich um ein Internat, welches im Sommer als Hotel betrieben wird. Die Zimmer sind daher sehr einfach, aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet und haben alle Fjördblick - allerdings keinen Balkon und auch das Fenster ist nur einen Spalt zu öffnen. WLAN gibt es nur im Foyer.

Out of the way but worth the trip!

To get to this hotel is a harrowing experience! The drive takes you over a mountain range, in fact, it's the highest road in the country. You must also drive thru a one lane tunnel at the top. But the town is beautiful and there is a nature preserve walk that is exceptional! The hotel is part of the Edda chain that converts school dorm buildings into hotels for the summer. Everything was very clean! Breakfast was more than adequate though I found it a bit pricey. Staff was exceptional!

Einmal und nie wieder!

Entäuschendes Zimmer mit Ausblick zum Lieferanteneingang. Liebloses kaltes Zimmer schlimmer als jede Kaserne. Löcher im Böden. Die Bilder täuschen einem etwas vor das nicht vorhanden ist. Wifi nur bei der Reception. Preis Leistung stimmt hier nicht! Einziger Pluspunkt nette Empfangsdame die sich viel Mühe gegeben hat.

Excellent Hotel in Neskaupsta[ur

My stay at Hotel Edda for the Eistnaflug festival was flawless. The staff is extremely welcoming and make you feel like a guest and not just a paying customer. Best hotel stay I have had in a while and I travel a lot. The restaurant is excellent with a beautiful view and the tranquility of the hotel served as an excellent counterpoint to the loud rock experienced at the festival.
