Great family reunion
We chose this place to have our family reunion. Couldn’t have been happier. The indoor pool was wonderful as the weather had cooled off while we were there. The location is great. We made trips to saugatuck and south haven. The kitchen was big enough for all of us to eat together. We cooked in each night. Plenty of room for all our supplies. Having 2 refrigerators was great. Had a bonfire a few nights. Chairs provided. Each night deer would come to visit. Plenty of room outside for the kids to play Kids loved the play area. The cabins were nice bonuses for those who couldn’t handle the stairs in the main house Had a few minor problems. Michael was quick to take care of it. This house worked out great for us

Excellent accommodation
We had a group of 10+ that work together. The 2 houses, and 2 bunkees allowed for everyone to have their own private space while enjoying the large communal areas for our meeting and socializing. Close to lots of activities in both south haven and Saugatuck- would recommend for a business retreat or large family reunion. The indoor pool was a great added bonus!

Awesome Wedding Weekend!!
We stayed at the family compound for our son's wedding. There was plenty of space for everyone, the indoor pool was amazing, and the kitchen was perfect for the Rehearsal dinner. And everything was very clean!! Michael was a terrific host - we highly recommend staying at this property!!

Great family experience
We hosted a large family reunion at Michael’s property and it was a huge success! The main house was very accommodating and provided lots of space for our group to relax, play, and visit. The deck and large TV room were a hit with children and adults, the kitchen specifically was perfect for cooking for a large group. Michael was very responsive to our little requests. The children particularly loved the indoor pool. We also appreciated the ability to spread out over the various buildings on the property. The houses were clean, well kept, and well stocked. Overall we’ve been doing this reunion for decades and this was certainly one of the best places we’ve stayed. We highly recommend Michael and his properties.

Great accomodations for all the extended family
Great accomodations for all the extended family. Able to enjoy summer family vacation with all the children and grandchildren. Michael was a great host and was able to secure additional Pack and Play and high chair for the young ones.

perfect for a large family retreat
perfect for our large family vacation - ages 1-87. kitchen was very well stocked - more than we expected and much better than other rentals i’ve experienced. the indoor pool is large and perfect for the whole family to enjoy. hot tub was a bonus. large backyard for activities. the location is a little farther from south haven than expected but easily accessible within 10-15 min drive. not a location for use of a golf cart. beaches within 10-15 min drive. despite the less than ideal location, overall the house/property was enjoyable and management was responsive in addressing our needs during our stay. would recommend this home and would consider staying again in future.

Amazing Home with every Amenity You Can Think Of
I selected this home based off its location and size for a work retreat/team meeting. The home was clean, well lit and well stocked. The kitchen had 2 or more of everything! The grounds and additional buildings were amazing and great for those that like to get away or stay up later and not wake the rest of the house. I would stay here over and over again! Host was very responsive and professional.

Thanksgiving Family Weekend
We had a great family weekend at the house for Thanksgiving! The house was clean and there was plenty of room for everyone. We felt at home all weekend. The pictures don't do it justice! The pool house was great for the kids and adults to relax in the hot tub. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a big Thanksgiving meal and then all sit together at the dining room table. The house was equipped with plenty of smart TV's and we were able to listen to music through them as well. The caretaker cottage was also a nice surprise with a little living room and small kitchen. The general store on the corner is great if you forget something. We were also close to Saugatuck to go shopping and get dinner one night and visited Waypost Brewing down the street for a beer tasting. We highly recommend this house to a big group looking to spend some quality time together!

Weekend Getaway
Stayed here with several family members and friends. The property has so much space for everyone to have comfortable sleeping arrangements. The location is perfect and close to several wineries which we ventured to. We loved the long dining room table, beautiful kitchen and pool area. We had an amazing time! Thank you to Michael and his staff, they made this weekend easy!

Intimate Wedding Weekend
We hosted an intimate wedding weekend with a total of 28 adults at Michael's home. The property was perfect for our special celebration! The back deck, pool, hot tub, fire pit, living rooms, and beautiful dining room were exactly what we hoped for. The home was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Michael was very responsive during our stay. We were so happy with our decision to book with Michael!

Hidden gem
I booked this property last minute because my 4 siblings and I were all in town at the same time with spouses/children. The compound could accommodate all of us x 2. Spacious, clean, and stylish. We had a wonderful long weekend. The kids didn’t want to leave. They had so much room to run and play. The pool and the hot tub were a huge hit. We were close to parks and beaches. By far one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. We were blown away. Michael was overly gracious to accommodate my requests. Looking forward to booking this property again in the future.

Great property for large family gatherings
It was a great property for our large family, enough rooms, bathrooms, yard, and amenities for our group of 23. It was close to plenty of activities and the beaches. Michael was a great host and kept contact as needed during the week. Would defiantly book again, highly recommend.

Great “Home Base”
Four generations extended family of 29 stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed the property. Recently remodeled meant that most everything was new and clean. Did multiple excursions both as a large group and smaller groups to the numerous local sights and activities ending up each night together for a swim in the pool and /or bonfire! Great option for a large gathering!

Wonderful family compound!
We stayed at this wonderful family compound over the 4th of July and it was PERFECT! We have a large family that ranges from 70 years old to a newborn and this property could not be better for everyone. The house is conveniently located between South Haven and Saugatuck if you want to go into town or the beach. The house is AMAZING, tons of room for large families and the kitchen is a wonderful for cooking meals!! The indoor pool was fantastic, the kids spent everyday swimming. The outdoor space is great for family games and the fire pit was a great place for our family to end every night. Michael the owner was wonderful and always available to assist you with anything you needed. We highly recommend this wonderful family compound for making wonderful memories year after year we will definitely come back!!! Charlie Reilly

Perfect for a family get-together
We had a group of about 25 family members from across the US and overseas, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was wonderfully equipped for cooking for that many people. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. It's just a short drive to Saugatuck/Douglas, dunes, beaches, antique shops and wineries.

The Family Compound was a perfect place to get together with my friends and family. We had over twenty people stay at this property, and we never felt crowded. The house was in great condition, the pool was beautiful, and the property had all of the amenities needed for a long weekend of friends and family. Would definitely stay here again. The property owner was communicative and kind. Thanks for the great stay!!
