I had a confirmed, payment approved reservation but when we arrived after a 5-hour drive, the hotel claimed there was a problem and refused to help. I’m assuming they tried charging excess resort fees that were not in the contract and were not successful taking the unapproved amount. Instead of working with me or contacting Expedia, staff pressured me over and over to make a second booking and pay again.
I waited in the lobby for 7 hours with my family. The “manager” yelled at me on the phone when I asked for assistance. They even gave my daughter expired snacks while we waited. Near midnight they finally said I’d get a “complimentary night,” but still wasted more time trying to rebook me.
The hotel itself is extremely run-down and poorly maintained. The manager is arrogant and condescending. If this is your idea of management, it explains why the property looks the way it does.
Save yourself the stress — there are MUCH better options nearby.
EXPEDIA OFFERED ZERO HELP WITH THIS ISSUE. STILL UNRESOLVED
