My husband and I absolutely loved our weekend at this amazing cottage. The fact that it was built so long ago and still stands with much of the original integrity intact is very impressive to me. Yes, yes—it’s been updated for sure, which is what many guests will really love. It feels old and rich with that Victorian-ish vibe, but it’s also got all the modern conveniences and decor that make a place feel inviting and comfortable. It’s very clean, and I’m a clean freak, so just take that to mean a lot. It’s just on the edge of where all the shops are and where the houses start on the other side of Spring Street. In other words, perfect location. The front porch was blissful for watching folks and dogs walk by. We walked to a different restaurant each evening and walked for coffee each morning. Only time we drove was when we went hiking & ziplining, which is the (only) downside—parking. There is no parking spot for this rental. You just have to hope that you get lucky with a spot on the street in front of the cottage. If you don’t, you just find one down further. Parking is free on weekends, but during the week, you have to pay through the parking app. This rental is worth it though. It’s one of the coolest places I’ve ever stayed in, and I travel a lot and always stay in VRBOs. Trust me, this is a one of kind place that you’ll be very glad you rented. Thank you to the owners for sharing this gem!
