Pintoresca casa forestal

A solo minutos al norte de Crescent City, ubicado en 5 acres exuberantes rodeados por un pintoresco bosque de altos árboles de secoya que muestran una hermosa casa nueva, para no fumadores, de 2450 pies cuadrados, 4 habitaciones, 3 1/2 baños, con un 3 garaje con apertura electrónica de puertas. La cocina totalmente equipada que se abre hacia el comedor y la gran sala tiene pisos de baldosas, encimeras de granito, un horno doble (también opción de convección), estufa de gas y refrigerador de dos puertas verticales. El lavabo doble de acero inoxidable y el lavavajillas se encuentran en una isla separada que ofrece asientos para el entretenimiento. El cuarto de servicio incluye una despensa junto con espacio adicional en el mostrador, y se encuentra directamente fuera de la cocina, donde hay una lavadora y secadora disponibles para su uso.

La gran sala incluye dos sillones dobles (uno con sillones reclinables dobles) y un sofá (que también es una cama queen size plegable) para relajarse mientras mira televisión, se relaja con un libro o disfruta de la comodidad y la calidez de la estufa de leña independiente . Las puertas francesas se abren a un bonito patio cubierto donde los huéspedes pueden disfrutar de la belleza tranquila y sus alrededores.

Peace in the Forest
A lovely setting with all of the amenities. Easy driving distance to Crescent City for pizza at SeaQuake and beach time at Lone Ranch Beach. The grandchildren especially enjoyed the swing and climbing to the tree house. They also enjoyed the living room space for dancing. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Spacious and Comfortable
We found this quiet house in the woods to be a good fit for our family. We saw wild turkeys in the yard one day. The grandkids enjoyed the backyard with a swing set. We all enjoyed the easy access to wondrous redwood forests, and beautiful river and ocean beaches.

Great Family House!
Our family of 7 stayed here and it was such a great space! The kids loved the yard and Treehouse. I'd say its a 4.5 star stay for us-- there were just a few minor hiccups: First, the top bunk wasn't made when we arrived (at night), so we had to make it ourselves before putting our kids to bed. Second, the microwave was really dirty, and I had to clean that out before use. We really could have used more access to both paper towels and dish cloths. And the tv setup is very complicated-- I think I counted 6 separate remotes, and only a couple had batteries, so we had to switch them between remotes. None of these things are deal breakers by any means, but they do deserve mention. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay for our family! Plenty of space for us all, and we especially liked the oversized shower and tub in the master bathroom. It is in such a beautiful, peaceful and quiet location!

Good experience. Lots of comfortable seating. Weather was 62 degrees high every day. Location allowed for driving to Southern Oregon for the day. Overall we had a great time.

Great vacation rental!
This rental did not disappoint. Everything was as described. Our daughter got married in the Redwoods and we needed a place that we could host a small reception. This property seemed way bigger than the square footage listed. The backyard and patio area were perfect for our small gathering. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, utensils and cookware. The only thing we ended up needing to buy was an ice cream scooper. With that being said, we have stayed at other rentals that have coffee, tea, and some condiments in the fridge; the only things this rental had were a few spices in the cabinet. No big deal to us but worth a mention in case others are expecting more. Checking in was super easy, the wifi was excellent, and the giant garage was so nice to have access to. The drive into town was beautiful and didn't take as long as we expected. I saw other reviewers complain about spiders but we only saw one in the house - the house sits in the middle of a redwood forest so there are naturally going to be bugs and spiders outside. I will say that the front of the property feels very secluded but I was surprised to see other houses/trailers so close through the trees. We never saw another person though. The inside of the house is really nice but a little dark. We typically had all the lights turned on when we were inside. There are a few skylights in the house but some in the living room would have been really nice. Overall, we would 100% stay here again!

Great house, great location
We loved this house! It was a perfect location for our trip to the redwoods and the ocean. The beds were comfortable and the house was well stocked. The bedding was a little worn down. Mark’s tips he left us were very much appreciated. We visited the sights he suggested and loved it!

Redwoods reconnect
We've been visiting CC and staying in vacation rentals since the late 1970s. Probably rented 40 or more properties over the years. Cabin in Gasquet, trailer homes and houses along South Bank Rd, in town and along pebble beach, even by the beach along the Tolowa Dunes. This latest rental in Ft Dick was the cleanest, best equipped of all. It was like home away from home only right in the middle of a forrest. If you're looking for a more rustic feel, or a great view when you look out the window, there's no sweeping beaches, lighthouses, river rushing by, but it is very comfortable and a great place for a base of operations especially if you had kids or two parties who like being together but also some privacy. We never rented in the Ft Dick area before because of it's proximity to the prison, but that was really not an issue. Bottom line, if you have a larger group or a lotta kids, you won't find a place much better. 5 ⭐

Family vacation
The property and house are nicely situated and nicely laid out for a family stay. The kids loved playing outside and having s’mores in the fire pit the downside was the cleanliness of the house. It was apparent that some of the portions of the house had not been cleaned in quite a while, there were no extra trash bags and the exterior of the house was a spider haven.

Well furnished kitchen, great spacious common areas, comfortable beds, fantastic water pressure for showers, central location for visiting the Redwoods & lighthouse & tide pools (is near the max prison). When we arrived, bunk beds weren’t made and full bath in garage wasn’t clean. We had to wash linens and make bed not knowing what was clean and what wasn’t. Mark called quickly when we left a message.

Redwoods Getaway
Great property minutes away from Jedidiah State Redwood Park. The house is beautifully decorated and larger than it looks online. The kitchen/dining/living room area is large and open concept making it a great space for family gathering. The bedrooms were spacious with comfy beds. Great backyard with a firepit and large covered table to spend time outdoors. Thanks for a great place to get away!

More than meets the eye
We had our wedding reception at the house. We seated 45 people comfortably for dinner in the garage. All of the pictures are accurate, but they just don’t do this beautiful home justice. The title “Picturesque Forest Home” is true, but understated. The house and property were plenty big enough for all our guests to be comfortable. They definitely made sure all the amenities are there. Again, the rooms, the Master bathroom especially, the living room and kitchen, the backyard, the pictures just don’t give the true sense of how big everything is in the house. All of our guests loved the place too. If you’re having a good sized event, there’s plenty of room. The hosts were great and, stayed in contact and responded to our emails very promptly.

The house is beautiful, surrounding area is gorgeous and very private. House is large with plenty of space and amenities for a wonderful stay. The cleanliness was a little lacking and a few things need a little TLC. Over all stay was fantastic!
