A 15 millas de la encantadora Callicoon en Delaware se encuentra esta casa totalmente privada, amueblada con buen gusto y renovada con una chimenea / inserto en la sala de estar, una cocina moderna y un área de comedor con hermosas vistas al río. Visite el Callicoon Farmer's Market durante todo el año los domingos, de 11 a 2 p.m. El Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, el sitio original del Festival Woodstock de 1969, está a solo 30 minutos en coche. Cottage on the Delaware
Photos are somewhat deceiving- house is more “worn out” than I expected. Owner Joe was great, helpful, very gracious bring us breakfast treats and credit at local bakery. Location on the Delaware is spectacular !!!

Amazing mountain getaway
We had a very nice time at Joe and Rosie’s. They were very accommodating and went above and beyond dropping off delicious stickies buns during our stay and leaving fresh produce for us. They were very accommodating and great hosts, and the place is beautiful. We’d love to stay again.

River retreat
Five adults and one blind dog had a great time swimming and tubing in the river. The shady porch with rocking chairs and picnic table overlooking the water was lovely. Hosts were responsive and answered all our questions, and we enjoyed the delicious treats they provided.

Long Weekend Getaway

The RIVER is wonderful!
If you love nature... this is the place for you... got in the river eveyday - paddle board, kayak, just swimming - water is very shallow by the house - so it was so easy to just get in. Everyday we were immersed in nature... bald eagles everywhere/ beavers/fawns..always something to see... the best was watching the fog lift off the water and over teh mountain every morning - really a great getaway!

Peaceful Retreat
We had a wonderful stay on the Delaware River. The home is lovely and the view of the river is breathtaking. We spent our days watching deer, geese and bald eagles. I am looking forward to returning soon.

Old and cozy
Rosie - thank you for the fresh veggies! Mattresses were great! A few tips for you to make this a 5 star review: Leave closets empty for guest use. Add a mirror to each bedroom (there was only one for 6 people upstairs). Include a full length mirror somewhere upstairs. Build a closet to put all cleaning supplies, brooms, etc in. Sort thru the items in your cabinets - there were 20 bottles of shampoo, conditioner, etc. Kitchen cabinets very need organizing. Lid to garbage is broken and needs replacement. Remove all but 2 decorative pillows per bed. Better to have softer/lighter colors for bedrooms which emit relaxing feeling. We are all on vacation. :) Remove the plastic shower surround so bathers can use the bathtub. One shower alternating times worked fine. I hope these tips are constructive and will help you.

Upper Delaware River House.
This is the 5th year in a row that we stayed at Joe’s River house. We love it and will continue coming as long as time will allow. We love the home and deck view! The bedrooms are very comfortable and the living room ambiance (and view) is spectacular!

Scenic Location

River Stay
This was our second time staying as a group of fly fisherman and once again it was excellent. Great view of the river, plenty of room for the boat and just above Buckingham boat launch. Joe and Rosie are very responsive and located nearby if anything is needed. We’ve stayed in a number of river rentals up and down the East Coast from Vermont to North Carolina and this house and hosts rank among the very best.

Nicest host ever!
We stayed for 4 nights in early spring. The cabin has the best backyard view we have ever seen. The Delaware river is your backyard! I cant even begin to describe how wonderful it is to wake up to the river view. The cabin has everything you will need to cook either inside or out. Our favorite feature was the fireplace. We would put a fire on and play board games. You do have limited WiFi. We loved it. A true break away from it all. The host (Joe) went out of his way to make us welcome. He dropped off a wonderful breakfast to us on our second to last night. It was amazing. We had a historic ice storm come through on our initial night. The electricity and water went out. Joe (the host), went out of his way to find us rooms for the night and even had them include the dog in the reservation. We ended up staying at the property and having a fun night in front of the fire watching a movie on one cell phone. The next day Joe checked on us and called the electric company with a time line. Electric was back on by noon and on with the vacation! He really went out of his way for us. None of that was his fault, yet he bent over backwards for us. When he asked how the fishing was going, he invited us to fish at his stocked pond. Turned out to be our favorite day. He has multiple properties and a new glamping site. Truly wonderful properties and the stocked ponds are on these sites! Check them out. We are already planning a return trip. Highly recommend!

Peaceful and relaxing stay at Joe's Cottage
The property is as advertised and we had a wonderful stay. it's very peaceful and relaxing, and the river views are unmatched. There was plenty of firewood left for us to use and we had many cozy nights by the fire. Joe was nice enough to even drop off some rice pudding, bread and gnocci for us. We ended up having the gnocci for dinner that night and it was delicious. We all absolutely loved our stay and would re-book again in the future!

Cozy and relaxing
I just finished a week long stay at Joes River Cottage and it was everything I expected! The house is clean, cozy and idyllic. Joe had everything stocked for me and my family, and even brought more firewood when we needed it, alone with asking us if we needed anything at the food store! If you are looking to get away to somewhere quiet, GO HERE! I know I will be going back again!

Awesome
We arrived and immediately noticed the view. We went inside and music was playing and were very impressed by just how homey and nice it was. Great views thru the wall of windows too. We went and sat on the deck after unpacking and just relaxed. Later we cooked dinner and the kitchen had everything we needed. There were even Keurig cups and all kinds of spices and oils. We relaxed on the sofas facing the fireplace and they are comfortable. The next day we went to the General Store in Equinunk a short drive away and grabbed a few things. Very different from a Shoprite experience. We had a $25 credit at the store from the owner of the house. I spent every morning taking pix of the fog rolling in and later the fantastic color of the mountains. We loved the place and so did my,dog,who,had a fenced in deck and yard to run around in. I liked it so much I reserved it for 8 days next Summer. You will love the peace and quiet although there is a little road traffic. There is a train that goes by on the NY side at night and it is loud but I knew that from camping in the area for 30 years. I actually enjoy it. I think you will love the place.

Well equipped, clean cabin with amazing river views and access.
My family including a few fly fishers had a great time at the cabin and on the river. Rosie, who handled the listing, was very responsive. She answered my questions regarding recommendations on places to eat as well as places to shop for groceries. Overall, it was a great place to make memories for me, my boys and my cousin from the Midwest.

Wonderful fall vacation spot
This property was exactly as described and pictured, actually even better. My family and I immediately felt right at home and thoroughly enjoyed the amazing view and surroundings. The property owner was very easy to communicate with and offered many suggestions for places to go and things to see nearby. We will definitely stay here again in the future.
