“This is our 2nd stay. Cant' say enough regarding Captain Ron! Wonderful gentlemen and tries to accommodate you with anything you need. The boat is a wonderful unique experience. You need to like boats or this is not for you. Look for egrets and herons. Turtle hangs out by boat looking for food. Captain Ron is also a great writer. Check out his book Bohemian Skipper! Interesting read. Linda & David Gober ”

“13 of us stayed at this house for 4 nights. We all had plenty of space to spread out and come together. The lake access is fantastic. There are so many amenities, even an ice maker. “We’ve spent a decade on the Lake and we had another wonderful trip! THANK YOU to Mary who was a fantastic hostess from the very beginning – wildly responsive to messages, checked in on us every few days, provided recommendations in the area, and greeted us with flowers / coffee / chocolates at the house. “We have vacationed in Lake Gaston for 5 years. We absolutely love this area and the beautiful lake. However, this was our first year at ‘Floating and Boatin’, and it beyond surpassed our expectations. The home is so beautiful. The views of the lake make mornings on the porch heavenly, and the dock with its many toys impressed all of us from age 4 to age 76! I could go on forever…By far one of my favorite stays at Lake Gaston. Thank you Edie and Steve for a wonderful core memory vacation. ”

“We stayed 3 nights for bike riding on the Virginia-Capital Trail. The location is almost mid-way between Richmond and Williamsburg, directly across from the trail on the John Tyler Memorial Hwy. The amenities were just right: a good sleep, hot shower, comfortable living room for reading or TV. The kitchen/living room makes eating-in easy, but there are also local eateries that provide good, classical food. If you’re into bike riding, this mid-way location will allow you to cover a lot of ground...

“The Perch is an amazing rental comfortable beds, nice layout well stocked kitchen with even spices that u can use. Shampoo and soap included. Hairdryers in every bathroom! Nice towels, nice bedding. Spiders are a little bit of an issues in exterior area but I just swept most of them away. Perfect location with a Tiki Bar and Restaurant in walking distance. Amazing water views! The best VRBO we have ever rented!!!! Will book again when in the area.”
