“The house was very clean and had a lot to offer in the way of amenities. It was too cold to go into the ocean at that time, but the hot tub was available, and the pool could be used too if the heater is requested. Enjoyed using the propane fire pit several times, and there is a great view of the surrounding area from the highest vantage point on the deck. This is definitely a place that I would not mind returning to.”

“Very cute condo and very peaceful. We thought we were going directly though the owner and VRBO , we were wrong it was through Vacasa and not the owner . We got their Monday at 8:15 pm, after driving 9 hours , I had to clean the previous guest dishes that were still in the dishwasher dirty. Housekeeper did not make bunk beds , restroom reeked of urine. The housekeeper did not do anything , the sheets on the bed in the bedroom were dirty. “We really enjoyed our stay at Doodlebug! The weather wasn't the greatest so it was nice to have such a welcoming and relaxing place. You can not only see the ocean from the top balcony but also hear it- something so calming about the sound of ocean waves. Short walk to the beach- 5 min? We have an 8 year old and a 5 year old so it's hard to tell with faster adult legs how long it really was. Kids really enjoyed swimming in the pool. It's not heated but you know kids, they never cared!...

“Leslie and Cora were so pleasant to work with. Super informative and communicative. The booking process was seamless and easy. Check in could not have been any simpler. The house is in a fantastic location. It is spacious and just as described in the listing. We had a perfect time ringing in 2025 at The Caped Coral. My one minor complaint is that a lot of the dishes weren’t clean. But we’ve stayed at many houses in OBX and Topsail over multiple decades and it wasn’t the worst we’ve encountered....
