The property was extremely nice for the price point and just a 5 minute walk to the beach (if you don't use their free golf cart service). The rooms were modern, updated, and very comfortable, and the service was what you'd expect from a fine establishment, so no complaints at all. If you are doing tours and outdoor activities, rather than enjoy a resort and amenities, this is probably one of your best options in the area.

Thank you for your hospitality, but I need to point out that while most of the staff at Monte Cristo was satisfactory but there were some outliers that were pretty bad. I also need to point out that the refrigerator was leaking water that created a flood, and some amenities are pretty old and outdated. Room service was rude and non-existent at all to the point that if we order something from room service, we were afraid that they would spit on our food. I understand that sometimes there are issues I just think Monte Cristo is over value and it doesn't live up to the expectations. Just too much bad stuff going on for a week vacation. Sadly, I have to point out that Monte Cristo and Pueblo Bonito group has dwindle into a run of the mill Hotel. The food was terrible!!!!! some staff rude and incompetent and outdated installations don't add up to a returning guest.!!
