First, the street level unit would be better suited as a retail operation as the windows do not open and the “store-front” glass door” was the only access to fresh air. there was a window in the bathroom (next to the toilet) that was the only window that opened. Temperature in the the unit was never below 25 degrees Celsius as the wall thermostat had no bearing on the warmth or coolness of the unit. The property manager stated the unit had no air condition but the building is brand new and I highly doubted the dismissive response as it was probably cost prohibitive to offer air condition (electricity costs).
Street parking was the only parking available according the property manager (very scarce due to the Fringe Festival), however, there was a private parking space in the rear parking lot identified to the unit but this was never disclosed by the manager nor was there any vehicle utilizing the private parking space.
There is limited silverware, no knives (steak, butcher, etc.).
Bedroom has no window and the room was extremely hot.
Basically, it’s a store front retail space converted into a 1 bedroom unit with little appeal or comfort.
Better luck next time on our visit to Edm.
