SCAM ARTISTS.
I made a reservation at to OYO St.Andrews for March 10-March 12. I made it several weeks in advance. The afternoon of March 10–thirty minutes before check in time—I was informed that my reservation could not be honored due to “renovations.” I was told that my reservation had been moved to the OYO Arden Guest House which is 4 miles away. I had no interest in this arrangement as it was not the location I wanted and I did not have a vehicle. I asked for a refund. They said they could not give me one because I made the reservation through Expedia. I contacted Expedia who contacted them to confirm my reservation was not honored. They are now refusing to issue a refund through Expedia because I did not “use” my reservation. This is in spite of the fact that I provided them with both a text message confirming my reservation had been moved to a different location and a voice mail they left me confirming my reservation had been moved. Disgusting.
The dishonesty is astounding. I paid for a service. It was not provided. Now they will not release my money for refund. This is a dishonest, incompetent establishment.
Don’t give them your money unless you want to stay at a completely different location without the ability to get a refund.
