Woodfield House es una propiedad de alquiler de vacaciones exclusiva e independiente, ideal para vacaciones privadas, cursos residenciales, pequeños eventos y reuniones familiares.

Situado a quince minutos de Edimburgo y veinticinco minutos de Glasgow es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de los atractivos de estas ciudades. Hay una selección de campos de golf locales, incluyendo el campo de campeonato en el Dalmahoy. También puede optar por utilizar el Retiro como una base desde la que explorar el hermoso paisaje más al norte.

La casa principal consta de tres habitaciones dobles, una habitación triple y una habitación con dos literas, todas las cuales se pueden convertir en camas individuales o extra grandes para adaptarse a su fiesta. El alojamiento del anexo consiste en un gran dormitorio con capacidad para hasta cuatro adultos.

Great location for a family - with pool, sauna and hot tub
We had 11 family members visiting Scotland. This was a great central location for day trips, or staying home and enjoying the indoor heated pool, the sauna and the outdoor hot tub. There is also a lovely big sunny room which easily had seeting for our entire group. Our host Justin was welcoming and very helpful. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely retreat
We stayed over Christmas with all the family. Age ranging from 2-60yrs and we all had such an amazing time. House is lovely but needs a little bit of TLC. The property manager Justin was lovely and accommodating and even left us a little Christmas treat which I thought was a nice touch. I would definitely go back.

Don’t stay here
The house is very tired, badly in need of redecoration & not clean, dust everywhere, badly fitting curtains and stained carpets & walls. The first thing you see on driving in is a huge pile of glass recycling which we had to add to. There were 4 broken dining chairs, a guest fell off one injuring their neck & 1 chair in a bedroom. Cooker temp gauges rubbed off so not easy to use, shelves missing from fridge, ice maker did not work, tumble dryer not work properly, lipstick on glasses in cupboard and dirty crockery & utensils. No outside light so very unsafe if arriving in darkness. The door mat was soaking wet & had to be moved as made floor dangerous. Worst thing was finding mouse droppings in a bedroom and inside a cupboard.. Bedroom wardrobes not used due to smell in them. 1 bed in the triple room was so damaged it could not be used, bathrooms were not pleasant to be in, trying to get the right temp in showers was not easy, they all need attention with silicone and decor, all the toilet seats were very badly fit, cheap and flimsy. The decking was in such severe need of cleaning it was unsafe trying to get to hot tub which had quite a few jets not working. The gutters were leaking very badly and the house felt damp. In general the maintenance is incredibly poor. This is not the house we expected.

Short Break
We arrived at the property on Friday afternoon and we stayed for the weekend. When we got there it was all nice and tidy. Very nice location and the hot tub was great. The cleanliness could have been a bit better. We found rubbish and dirty sanitary products in the annex building. The fridge hadn't been cleaned and was quite dirty inside. There isn’t a lot of storage as the fridge/freezer is quite small. The pool was great but the chlorine levels in the pool was very high and this was catching the back of your throat and you felt quite sticky when you came out of the pool. The hot water went cold after a few people had showers so we boosted this and it was hot within a short time. The beds could’ve been a bit comfier especially the single beds as these were a bit worn out. Other than this the house was great! It was in a lovely location, very easy to find. The communication with the owner was great and he kept us well informed. I would definitely come back.

Not as high end as the price suggests
This was a last minute purchase due to a change in covid restrictions which meant we were unable to go to the property we had booked. Communucation with the owner was good. There were a few issues when we arrived and the owner fixed what he could and provided workarounds where he couldn't. Directions to the property would have been good as not easy to find. Also no instructions provided on how to access the property. The property has a huge sitting room, a dining kitchen and a large conservatory so there is lots of break out areas and this could be great if you had kids with you. The kitchen is high spec and very well equipped.but the fridge freezer has seen better days. Poor ventilation in shower rooms has caused damp and mould which makes them feel unclean. Wifi is non existent Pool area a bit tired and im not sure there was enough chlorine in the pool as it was unusable by day 3. All in all we had a good time. But felt that it didnt live up to the price tag.

90th Birthday Celebration
The house worked very well for all 4 generations of our family to celebrate together for a few days. The temperature of both pool & hot tub were good. The oven controls are faded so more info would have been useful. Justin responded promptly & provided a solution when outside light failed

Perfect house for us over christmas.
As a family of 12 over three generations it was an excellent place for us to spend Christmas. The living areas worked very well - (even with one older person in a wheelchair) - and all enjoyed a very good warm swimming pool. Justin was always available to answer questions in advance - all went very smoothly. Thank you Justin - we had a great time.

Wonderful retreat
Had the most wonderful time! Utilised the retreat as a base to host a gathering of friends, well maintained property and great location. Host easily accessible. Only issue was that the pool was over chlorinated. Would highly recommend this property

Mostly positive experience
Overall, we had a very nice stay in this spacious house. We have some positive and some negative comments, but some of the negative points could easily have been avoided. The house has some "has seen better days" about it, but that didn't keep us from having a good time. On the plus side: For a group of 12 friends, the house was spacious enough, both for dinner and in the lounge area. The hob/oven was larger than standard, and plenty of cookware. Spacious fridge and ice cube maker was also a plus. The best thing about the house, though, was the jacuzzi and pool, which stayed at very pleasant temperatures and worked perfectly all week. Bedrooms mostly neat and cosy. Location is quite rural, but close to airport and main road, which was very useful. On the minus side: Wi-fi was very slow. For those of us who needed to keep up with work emails inbetween, it was a challenge, and just logging into Facebook would take ages. Kitchenwise, a house meant for 15 people should have more than 11 table knives... And at least one identical wine glass for each person. We realise these are items that tend to disappear or break, but this should be resupplied to avoid this unnecessary bad impression. And we suggest supplying the house with a knife sharpener, or to advise guests to bring their own cooking knives. Since 2 of the 3 bathrooms in the main house are ensuites, the bathroom capacity is a bit limiting at times. Beds are well sized, but appear quite worn. Fresh top mattresses might help. Finally, no instructions for house entry were received from HomeAway, neither on website, email or in the app. We were able to contact the owner on the phone, though, so problem was sorted quickly. Overall, we had a good experience, and would recommend the house to other guests.
