Our trip was for a large family gathering, so location was of primary importance, and this place worked well for that. But we spent all our time out or at the places other relatives were staying. Since it was a cold, rainy, and foggy (4-day) weekend, there was lots of home time (puzzles, books, conversation, just being together), and there was nothing remotely tempting about inviting another family member to our place for a meal or an afternoon or an evening of conversation and family remembering. The furniture was comfortable but spare, no homey-ness about it. No puzzles, no games, nothing cozy there. My adult son and I were the primary occupants, with a cousin who was an extra overnight visitor. There wasn’t even a pillowcase for the one pillow for the sofa bed, though there were sheets and blankets. Considering it says it accommodates 6 people and we had 2-3, it was bare-bones. It is minimally furnished, with just enough to get by, more like a hotel suite than a home, but without any of the services that come with a hotel. If we had wanted a hotel, we would have booked that, not a vacation home. The things that were there were comfortable, just not inviting. Since we were there for family time, we were disappointed. But if you anticipate spending all your time out and about, it might work fine for you. There is no dishwasher and no laundry facilities there, which we didn’t expect (having read the listing carefully), but did miss, due to the weather we encountered.
