Oh man, where do I start? With the positives, I suppose.
The location is the best I've ever stayed at. It's a two minute walk down a dead end to Boat Meadow Landing, a tidal beach. The beach is awesome for small kids, they can explore in the shallow tide pools. Never crowded, because there are only about ten parking spots. Many mornings, we walked about a half mile out to see the oyster farm. At high tide, it's more like a traditional beach without the waves.
The house itself is on a huge property abutting the grassy area of the beach. It's quiet, isolated, and beautiful. There's a large driveway, an outdoor shower, and a really nice wrap-around patio. There's a small grill and a table and chairs. The inside is huge. One master bedroom on the first floor with an open floor plan throughout.
The upstairs has two master-bedroom type rooms with amazing views, their own decks, TV's, etc. There's also an in-law apartment with its own sitting area.
Now for the negatives. The floors were a mess when we arrived, no one had cleaned them. There are beautiful grape vines over the front door and back deck. But the grapes fall and attract flies and bees. It was pretty bad, and there was no push broom for us to clean them. The house is missing some essentials like beach items to use and cleaning materials. The interior is outdated in a lot of ways. Many of the electrical outlets do not work and some of the lights have no switches. One TV didn't work. Internet is sketchy.
