The check-in process was an unmitigated disaster. Despite having filled out and signed the ubiquitous required community forms weeks before, our party was greeted at the 'Unwelcome' Center by someone who was not only deliberately unhelpful, but who commented on what a "common problem" it was for these forms to not be in their system when people arrived to access the properties they had rented. This should be a big red flag for anyone considering renting in future. This gated community ignored all of the documentation presented to them and it took over 2.5 hours and 4 calls to Vacasa (the property management team who was very helpful) to resolve the issue. While our family (including 3 teenagers competing in a national-level competition the following day) waited in 90 degree heat and high humidity, the 'customer service' agent went outside to feed the deer, seriously?The property was pleasant with good access to a nice lake (suitable for swimming). Some upgrades to outdoor furniture are needed, but it otherwise has enjoyable amenities. There are a wide range of properties in East Stroudsburg. I'd look for a different one next time given the extreme hassle experienced simply to drive into the community. Not what you hope for when you've traveled hours to get to your destination. If I owned in the community, I'd demand a lot more from the community management group.
