First off, I will say the communication was very good with the owner. The home itself had been remodeled and was in good shape. However, that is where the positives end.
The property was furnished very minimally, with very few personal nick nacks and artwork on the walls. The be
drooms contained just the bed and nightstands so it just felt cold and sterile. Secondly, the listing mentioned breakfast was included with the listing, however after communicating with the owner, that was not accurate and referred to kuerig coffee pods of which there were 2, for 9 people for a 4 day stay. When we arrived 15 minutes past our checkin time, there was a car in the driveway. We found that the unit was still being cleaned, so we had to wait before we could unload our car.
As for housekeeping, it was generally clean, but there were only 2 extra toilet paper rolls and no kleenex in the entire property. The towels were rough and not very absorbant. There were also ants in the kitchen on the counters by the sink, etc.
It rained one of the nights and were woken up by the sound of the gutters overflowing.
The wifi was also shut off early Monday morning, prior to our checkout time.
Lastly, as a general criticism, the exorbitant number of rules, of which were reinforced in every area of the listing, jurny communications, etc, were off putting and unnecessary. A simple listing of general house rules and checkout instructions are all that is necessary.
