Pros: It was fairly close to Durango. The many bedrooms were a nice feature. It had nice furniture and a nice kitchen. It was great for a large family get-together. The dog relief area was a nice touch. It was fun seeing deer.
Cons: This review would have been a 4 if it had felt more friendly to its guests. It is the most unwelcoming house we have ever stayed in. I was nervous the entire time due to the repeated threats of additional fees on top of the already high pet fees. There were signs everywhere telling guests not to do this or that in the home. We have visited many homes like this one, but we have never felt so restricted. We followed their extensive check-out list to the best of our ability, but we still felt uneasy about potential fines. Honestly, we felt like they did not want to pay their cleaning service, so they put it back on the guests.
Next, yes there is ac in the living room/kitchen. However, all the bedrooms were incredibly hot because there was no ac in any of them. They provided very limited fans. Perhaps this home is more accommodating in the winter. However, in the summer, it felt very warm.
Also, the check-in process had many steps. More importantly, the gps does not go to the house. It took a long time to find the home. We strongly suggest that there are directions to make this easier.
Finally, after you sign-up, they send a long list of pet rules with threats of fines. They needed to be upfront about these before booking.
