This beautiful one bedroom is a finished room above a garage (boathouse). The expansive deck overlooks the east branch of Brandywine Creek. It's a great place to sit in the evening, or anytime for that matter. I took a nice dip in the creek.
My wife and I took the place for four days as a getaway/disconnect vacation. The house is conveniently located a four-minute walk from downtown Downingtown. We had easy access to several good restaurants, including the Downingtown Diner, scene of the diner that was featured in the 1958 movie, The Blob.
Within a ten-minute walk was a nice paved walking trail and very nice parks.
Overall the location is great. Downingtown is quaint and you are close to the Valley Forge National Park and several cycling/walking trails. We also had a nice evening in Phoenixville, about 30 minutes away (home of the Colonial Theater, also featured in the 1958 version of the Blob).
The apartment is nicely appointed, with a sitting room and dining area, kitchen, bedroom, and full bath with washer and dryer. We had several meals in the apartment and all necessary dishware etc. was provided.
Our hosts were very gracious and quickly responded to all notes.
Overall the stay was great, the place is great, and we had a great time there.
