When making the booking it NEVER mentioned that the only way to access your lodge is via a small rowing boat. I kid you not. “We stayed here for eight days in October with two couples, both 60+. Everything about the villa was as advertised and more. Especially the living and dining rooms are large and comfortable, the grounds are beautifully maintained, the beds very comfortable, all the amenities excellent, and the hosts were always available and kind and helpful. Montfoort is centrally located and it was wonderful after a busy day of sightseeing to come “home” and not have to unpack but just relax. Highly recommended...

The coffee and takeaway area was lovely to sit at near the pool, meals in the restaurant were also very good.
