Flavia and Achille are excellent hosts—friendly, responsive, and clear in their communication. Their apartment is spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the facilities you need.We reached the Azzurra slope (2) by walking about 5 minutes along the road to the Nevesole Hotel, where you can ski down to the Folgarida gondola, and we returned the same way at the end of the day.Having skied in the Madonna area many times, we found staying in Folgarida to be excellent value compared with Madonna itself. We had a hire car (the garage space is tight, but that’s typical for ski condos), which was useful for larger supermarkets in Dimaro or Malé, and for one day when we drove to the Grostè car park to start skiing early before it became busy. From the Folgarida gondola it takes about an hour on skis to reach the top of Grostè.We ate twice at La Buca in central Folgarida—about a 25-minute walk—and it was delicious. We highly recommend Flavia and Achille’s apartment and would happily return.
