“My teen daughters and I spent two nights at this cabin and had a wonderful time! The cabin was clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. And the owner was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. We explored the town and enjoyed ourselves tremendously.”

“This charming cottage was perfect for myself and 2 friends. The weather eas rainy but cleared for beautiful sunsets. We even saw Northern lights. If the temperatures were warmer we would of kayaked. We had fun playing games, doing puzzles and takjng a day trip to Alpena. I would rent this cottage again when the weather is warmer to kayak and play in the lake.”

“We selected this place due to its access to Houghton Lake and because it was a great home base to be able to venture out and see various sites in Northern Michigan. It did not disappoint. The place was spotless with a small stock of snacks/beverages upon arrival. We had some confusion about using the door code to get in and the property manager walked us thru it immediately - very helpful. Just be aware that if you intend to do a trip that will entail washing clothes, this place does not...

“Cute cabin, my nieces enjoyed the loft area. I just don't understand why they charge a large cleaning fee then ask the guests to wash & put away all dishes, round up all the towels and put them in the tub and strip the beds & pillows. Taking out the trash and cleaning your items from the refrigerator I get, but not the other stuff...unless you cut down the cleaning fee!”

“The cabin was very cozy and just what we needed. The hot and cold in the kitchen were switched but the owner gave us a heads up and was very attentive to anything we needed. Definitely loved this stay and will come back in the future.”

“Fantastic place. Great location . Clean and cozy. We had some issues and had to bring our dogs at the last minute. They are wonderful people to rent from, so understanding. We are long time renters and will always return here.”
