“When I tell you that you will not be disappointed.My family and I had a time like no other.They have 2 refrigerators in the house, even still have 3 maybe 4 bags of ice. The Compound is huge and cozy. We love the house. I would rent this house again NO QUESTION!!.”

“We spent a fun girls weekend at the cottage. It’s exactly as described. Very cute and cozy. It was just far enough away from the bustle of the city but close enough that driving out to the heart of Charlottesville was only 20 mins away. The beds were comfortable and it had everything you needed. ”

“My husband and I (and our pup) enjoyed our stay here! While the weather did not cooperate as we hoped for a weekend of hiking, the cabin was very cozy and we enjoyed the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and spices for cooking. I'd definitely recommend visiting when it's warmer to take advantage of the fantastic wrap around porch and firepit!”

“My friends and I had a wonderful time during our weekend at the house. Right up against the lake which was perfect for fishing off the dock. The house was clean and we were impressed with how stocked it was with all of the essentials we needed! 10/10 trip. Thank you!! ”

“It was a nice house. There was a crack in the downstairs tub The hot tub was gross. I reached out to the person I was suppose to and she did nothing about anything I still enjoyed my family and the lake, but for the money paid, not sure I will choose this particular house again. Oh and I called for trash to picked up. Never happened we took it ourselves ”

“The home was spotless and offered more than enough space for 8 adults to coexist for a few days. The view was stunning, the game room was a blast, and the hot tub was clean and relaxing. Joanne was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I couldn't recommend this home enough, and we hope to stay there again at some point. ”

“House and dock has everything you could ask for. Host was easy to communicate with and check in/out was no issue. Dock is close to a busy road but it is not noticeable or noisy at all. in fact, really liked the private-like cove. Our kids enjoyed the paddleboards, kayak, floaties, etc. would stay there again!”

Unfortunately it needs some maintenance (of issues submitted to owner) and updating of kitchen amenities Plates, glasses, eating utensils, etc need to accommodate the 16 people staying in the house. “Our stay at the Secluded Zen River Retreat was simply magical! Nestled deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this peaceful escape provided breathtaking views, soothing river sounds, and an abundance of nature. We loved exploring the walking trails, relaxing by the river, and unwinding on the large deck. The open dining area and cozy wood stove made it feel like home. Perfect for nature lovers and anyone seeking tranquility. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!”

“Our family group of 10 has come several times in the winter. Beautiful house and location. The great room with huge fireplace and view of the Blue Ridge is perfect for hanging out in the winder, and the big and well-equipped kitchen is excellent for big family dinners.This time, a big winder storm presented some winter challenges, and the host did a great job of making things right. ”
