“The room was extrrmely clean and the bathroom looked new. The property is lovely and geared up for kids, and large families. The views are outstanding. This place is not for a couples, romantic weekend away.its not a quite place to rest and relax. Kids screaming in pools, running around playing. if you looking for tranquity this is not it. The restaurant and receptions are closed until the first week of december so if you are self catering its fine but the makeshift restaurant is not great....

“Overall resort was very neat and tidy. The staff were friendly and the Koswerf had good food. My only complaint is that our room smelt of smoke and the bed needs replacing.”

“The stay was an utter disappointment. Very very noisy guests, loud music, screaming and shouting and loud parties. Impossible to relax and enjoy the mountains. Some guests were even driving up and down with music blasting from their cars. Check in was good and security at the gate very friendly. Depending on your unit you have to carry your luggage from your car a fair distance to the chalet. They should get golf carts to assist with this. The resort should really clamp down on noisy guests day...

“Fantastic stay here while visiting the Boer war sites in the area with Raymond. The premises is a renovated historic farm from the war era, retaining as much of the original detail as possible. The bar is cosy and reeks of history while the dining area is a modern addition. I stayed in the old house, which has been converted into a number of en-suite bedrooms. Nature surrounds you in the beautiful grounds and the staff were friendly and attentive. Meals were simple but filling and fantastic....

“The hotel is conveniently located near attractions in the Central Drakensberg. Check-in was easy and efficient. We had a problem with our air conditioner, which was swiftly resolved after reporting the issue. Parking is conveniently located close to the rooms. Breakfast was good with a good selection of food. Overall, a good experience and good value for money.”

“The location and views are amazing. the unit is smaller than expected and a bit cramped. The dinning area is outside and during the heavy rain we were unable to use it. Also there are a lot of trucks going past and the unit is close to the road”

“Had a lovely stay at the cavern. The meals are all included and very good and it was so nice not to have to worry about driving back in the evening. The wine cellar was also excellent! Amazing location and awesome staff (special thanks to sandile for all your help in planning amazing walks). Also fun range of activities, we did a lovely night hike the first night there under very clear skies and saw the milky way in all it's glory. Packed lunches were lovely and meant we could go all day hiking...
