“This was a great location. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. We were in the area for a long weekend of exploring the bluff country on bicycles and motorcycles and Houston is a good central point to take off from. The house itself was spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. It could use a little more seating but is overall a great place to stay.”

“Amazing location of the house along the Mississippi River, with very easy access to the lovely dirt roads in the region for gravel bicycle riding. The house was amazingly quiet except for when the train was passing through, but if the windows are closed, the train noise is very much minimized. The kitchen has everything you need to make simple meals, and the garage was an amazing place for us to work on our bikes.”

“My family enjoyed our stay at Blackhammer Hus! The property itself is beautiful and the owners have really done a great job with the renovations - it’s a nice mix of modern and antique. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms are up to date and modern. Nice common areas and beds were comfortable. I would highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a beautiful quiet place to stay. If I’m ever in the area again I would stay here in a heartbeat!”
