“We had a wonderful time at this property! There were plenty of rooms to accommodate everyone and the outside space is perfection! The dock is so lovely, we spent most of our time there. “Check in and out is always a breeze. Everything you will ever need to cook with.....it's here. All convenient appliances provided. Beautiful cabin right on the lake. Awesome firepit here with lots of sitting space for sitting around a nice fire at night. The house is so big making it nice for everyone to spread out and be comfy. We loved our visit. This was our second stay. We will definitely be back. ”

“We’ve been coming to Lake Gaston for many many years but this was a first at this house. It was by far the most beautiful and comfortable house we have ever rented. House was very well stocked for cooking. Plenty of space for storage and lounging. Our only complaint was the water space off the dock was pretty overrun by grass and weeds. We easily rectified that by going out on a pontoon for our swims. Hopefully we will be able to stay in this wonderful home again. Thank you for having us!!”

“We had so much fun at this house. Probably one of our best vacations! The house was perfect for our needs. It has a shallow area great for kids but also deep enough at the dock to jump in. The shallow swimming area is shaded in the afternoon which saved us (heatwave that week). The kitchen was well stocked and we cooked there most nights. We even caught some decent size fish from the dock. We truly had a great time!”

“We had a great week (July 2025)! Perfect size house for our family of 6. House was well appointed and maintained. Excellent outdoor areas (boathouse and patio). Fun game room/tv room in basement. Good beds and baths. Loved location near Eaton Ferry Marina and mid-lake. One small downside is the shallow/mucky water off the dock, but you only have to go out a short way to get to great spots for swimming/floating, which we did all day. “The house had everything you could want. We never left except to take the boat to dinner one night. We spent all day in the pool or lake. 3 generations, 3 kids under 7 who all want to live at MacDaddy. We hired a chef for 4 days and rented baby equipment making it a very relaxing week. MacDaddy definitely deserves its title as Top Dog !!”
