“Great place to stay absolutely beautiful cabin with great views and entertainment options! I recommend this for anyone trying to get away and just hide out. Or you can visit one of my favorite nearby sites- Zapata falls! Near the sand dune national park!”

“This was a quaint little cabin. It is pretty small but had all the amenities, even some bear spray. There are 4 beds for 8 people and one bathroom. Not much of a front or back porch. The master bed was memory foam and felt like a soap dish. Some of the windows do not have coverings. It is at least a 25 minute drive to the highway. Then an hour in either direction for a town. So it is isolated. Overall it was an ok stay.”

“The house was neat and quiet,each room had its own unique feeling of peace and relaxation. The country kitchen was awesome, and bar/family room was cozy. Enjoyed ping pong as well. The host was fabulous amazing intriguing and fun. We partied we saw the whole ranch, played with cows horses and dog. Unique location unique host. Must stay VRBO again. ”

“I come to fort Garland a few times a year. Im so glad I found this gem! The location is great a it is so clean and meticulous I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Also the owners are a pleasure to work with. Can’t wait to go back.”

“We were pleasantly surprised by the interior space—the pictures don’t do it justice. It is “out there,” probably 5 miles from Blanca, mostly over stone roads. There were no restaurants open in Blanca so eat in Fort Garland or Alamosa or plan to eat out of your cooler. A microwave and small fridge would be welcome additions, otherwise we were very pleased with the accommodation and Sue’s hospitality.”

“Gorgeous area, saw Pronghorn Antelopes, wildflowers prairie dogs and amazing night skies. Isolated but safe close to Sand Dunes and the Sand DunesRecreation area, formerly known as the Hooper Pool. Also close to Zapata Falls, Alamosa, Splashland, Blanca Vista park and the most beautiful trails along the Rio Grande. Mt. Blanca was always present.”
