“A well aged puzzle piece bach, in NZ forest, tucked down a dead end road. Surprising amount of traffic on the road during our stay. Neighbours were quite noisy also but the bach had everything we needed. Hot water for a shower was a bonus. The old Shacklock range is prone to smoking out the bach but I think we figured it out after a few days. Reliable cell service is back at the Orwell Creek Road turnoff, for those wondering. For a last minute booking, it worked out well and appreciate the good...

“We loved everything about this place and the wild nature of the surrounding mountains and sea. My partner and I needed to re set our mental health and this was the perfect place to do it. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay.”

“Not far from town but on the outskirts, either drive or cycle the excellent cycleways to town. Huge property, quiet and private. Really well equipped. A good place to be central to everything but come to for rest and relaxing. Great find. ”

“Fabulous historic cottage. On a dead end road, right next to amazing walking tracks. Museum up the road is a must. Swimming hole at bottom of the garden in the river, bliss. Very homely and comfortable. Beautiful pottery around home from creative owner. A little tip, bring the insect repellent! Loved it here, would come back. ”

“It’s an acquired taste, bed is comfortable and it’s as clean as it can be, ( as there’s so much stuff, dolls, Knick- knacks) so if your looking for mod cons and clean lines, this is not for you, it has an outside bathroom, but totally undercover from the front door, so you won’t get wet if it rains and sadly it did a lot during our stay, so we didn’t get to enjoy the area as much as we’d like. Kath and Dan were very welcoming ”

“The perfect get away in Iveagh Bay. The house equipped with everything you need and works well. It had the most amazing view and decks to enjoy it. Great little touches, with milk, coffee pods and cookies for when we arrived. Highly recommended. We will be back! ”
