We loved the cute artwork in the bathrooms especially. Our only problem was the gnats--they were in the upstairs bathroom every night, and there were wasps on the main deck. One of our party is very scared of wasps, so that was a turn off for her. But our stay was lovely--we were so impressed...

“The house looks small outside but it is mighty inside. Four bedrooms and three baths on three floors. Ample gathering space for our family in the open living/dining/ kitchen areas. The house is in excellent condition and extremely clean. It is full of charm from the "old Atchison" mail cabinet to the charming 33/45 record player with albums to the over the top coffee bar complete with flavors to add to the coffee. It was a very nice experience. It could use better pictures on line.”

“We recently stayed at this property during our annual family vacation. The house is very accommodating for a large group (24) and offers amenities for people of all ages to enjoy. The kitchen area offers a large gathering spot for the family. The proximity to Kansas City attractions while also offering a rural setting was great for our group. “The view of the river was wonderful. The fire pit with wood was really great! This is a duplex and we were on the side closest to the parking. The people staying on the other side had to walk back and forth in front of our windows or behind us if we were sitting outside. That was very awkward. Owner was not flexible about arrival and departure times. ”

“Took my wife here for her 40th birthday to take a break from our kids and have a 'slow' weekend. What a wonderful visit. Host was very communicative and helped with any/all questions we had. Next time we are going to bring our kids to enjoy the time with us. Sunrises/Sunsets are breathtaking. Peacefulness and quietness were a very welcomed break for those that live in the city. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful retreat. Firepit was a great addition to add to that...

“Neighborhood was clean and quiet, easy on street parking right in front. I loved the added security of the entrance to the building and then for the apartment. Cozy and warm with a lot of bedroom and living space. Bathroom is a bit small, but I was there to visit, not for a spa experience. Will be back again!!”
