“Had a fabulous wee break. Inverary is very welcoming, excellent choice of quality dining. Cottage was great, reminded me of a family trip to Inverary when I was a child. Only complaint was the poor shower pressure, which is essential for long hair, and slightly temperamental water temperature. We would happily return.”

“This place is for people who love peace and quiet and privacy, we do. Noise from the road is almost minimal, perhaps if you sit in the front garden but we spent all time in the back garden watching sunrises, ships passing by, listening to bird songs early morning, fishing from the private beach. “From the outside this accommodation does not look promising- a ground floor property in a block of council flats, the shared hallway is pretty bleak. But the flat itself was fine, a bit basic but it had everything we needed, nice and clean, plenty of towels, quiet despite being next to a busy road. “If you are looking for a slower paced experience, this is a lovely place to stay. The neighbors are friendly, and the tavern at the end of the road had wonderful food and good service. The village was peaceful and charming. It was easy to get to almost anywhere in Scotland with 3-5 hour drives. The road in to the village is quaint and you need to take your time getting in. Can’t wait to come back.”

“The property is a delight. It’s cosy clean and warm. Not many places offer a view of an ancient castle. Richard shows huge interest in how guests recycle. The compost bin meant all our food waste doesn’t go to land fill. It’s our second time staying in Castle Cottage and would not hesitate to recommend this gem of a place to stay. ”
