BED BUGS. after receiving an invalid door code and having to contact customer service, we entered to find dirty bedding on most beds, bags of dirty laundry and trash on the floor, mattresses removed from beds, piles of floor sweepings not picked up, and no clean towels or toilet paper. After calling customer service again, we were told the local service would come to finish cleaning. After an hour and a half, we were told they have bed bugs and would not relocate us. We were refunded and had to find a new place to accommodate 14 people with immediate check in as Vacasa would not relocate us. We have reported to the health department and state regulators as they knowingly allowed us to enter the property. Local management would not answer and has not contacted us.

Spring Break 2025

The home and neighborhood is very beautiful. The property was very clean, but the internet service was very weak. I paid for the pool to be heated during our stay, and it took the staff almost two days to come turn it on. Other than that, our trip was pleasant.

Paradise isle

We had an enjoyable stay but the house was not clean good all the way. The upstairs bathroom smelled really bad no matter how I sprayed air fresher. House keeping had just left they did not clean really good. Overall it’s a beautiful home easy access to everything. Very quiet and upscale neighborhood I would most definitely rent this place again and also I would like to be able to check in early if house keeping is done cleaning. The pool was not clean and the bath tub was dirty.

Lovely spacious house

Plenty of room for our family of 9. The pool was the favorite place(when the heat was working) and the outdoor space was very comfortable. Great place for morning coffee. Walking distance to the beach. Beach chairs were great. No beach towels, so bring your own. I do recommend this house.

Plenty of space

This house has plenty of space for a big family but the house wasn’t well maintained. The carpets were very stained, kitchen cabinet doors were falling apart, upstairs bunk bed room shower doesn’t work, (The bath works but not shower), the upstairs railing was loose making it extremely dangerous with kids, and the kitchen wasn’t fully stocked with everything needed. Other then that it was in a great location and the full sized baby crib was a nice touch.

Run around

When we 1st arrived we loved the location, the cleanliness of the house, however I paid for heated pool and when we went to the pool it had not been cleaned. Beer cans, shot cups, dice, cards, and other trash in the pool. And it was not heated. When brought to the property manager attention I was assured of the heating fee refund and that it would be cleaned. It has been since March during spring break and I have just been given the runaround. Vacasa says I gotta go thru VRBO, VRBO keeps hanging up and ending chats, I'm glad I have all documentation of the promise of refunds as well as pictures of the pool. So unless someone rectifies this issue, I will warn anyone to rent with this company.

This property was nice. Less then a mile walk to the beach and conveniently located. We loved the pool, but the basketball net seen in some of the pics was not available.

Our stay was amazing. The heated pool is the way to go! Golf cart is a must not because of the distance but with a family to the beach and driving around was so enjoyable. Tons of room

Disappointed

Many repairs around home are needed. The lack of attention to these things really makes a big impact on the quality of stay. Dinning chairs were broke or sketchy to sit on. Railing upstairs scary loose. Master TV wouldn't function. Fireplace not operating. No manual or instructions of home (other than at washer) about how to use things. Tried calling the support number Many times no answers ( even the maintenance guy said he had been trying to reach them and couldn't) trash and pet feces from previous was still there when we arrived. No one responded to my email about trying to speak to them. There were red stains in a few rooms the carpet stayed wet the entire stay (gross!) Very janky for how much is spent. I was worried about the pest from previous reviews but thankfully only seen a roach in master room. Drawers are in poor condition and the handle to outside was hanging on by a thread when we did the walk through prior to unloading. I would love to speak to a manager still because I am definitely expecting to be compensated. We had to screw things back to working order just so we can open doors, drawers, and not fall from upstairs trying to hold the rail .

We had a wonderful time!

House was beautiful! We loved the location and how close it was to the beach. Neighborhood was very nice. It was bonus having the pool too. There was couple minors things wrong with the house or furniture but it really wasn't a big deal and honestly you would expect that being its a vacation rental.

The location is exceptional- we would rent here again.

Overall we had a good experience. House has a wonderful location and looked very much like the pictures. We enjoyed the bikes being in the garage, loved riding to the beach each day. We did notice bugs in the cabinets where the pots and pans were, we washed everything before we used them (easy fix, they just need a good exterminator). Also the gate code that was sent in the email was incorrect and caused challenges getting into the property, thank goodness a resident living there gave us a code that worked for us. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience! We would recommend staying here again.

Home was amazing

My family and I spent Thanksgiving at this property and let me just say from first glance, WOW! We had a range of ages and everyone enjoyed the pool. We had an amazing time and the fact that it was walking distance to the beach was a bonus. We had minor issues with the cable and wifi service, but overall we were VERY SATISFIED and would highly recommend this home.

House needed cleaning and new pool furniture.

House was fun and big enough for my family. Needs some new pool furniture all was extremely run down and torn. There was a big tear on our screen covering the pool as well. There was cigarettes on the floor around the pool area we had to sweep up. Upstairs in the bunk room the sheet in trundle where not washed. On one of the full size bunks we found a pizza slice. We had trouble with three of the TVs but someone came out the next day. She was very nice and fixed them for us. The refrigerators ice maker did not work and the wine fridge as well. The house needs a few paint touch ups and it would be great. We enjoyed the bikes every morning and the location of the house was great.

Beautiful home needs better cleaning

Home was beautiful and we enjoyed the in the home, neighborhood is very nice and walking distance to beach however we were unsure how it is a cleaning fee as refrigerator was dirty and all the tables inside as well as patio were filthy and floor had not been swept throughout the house. Wine chiller did not work. Home sound system is no longer connected in the house. We had to buy candles as the home had a strong mold smell. The bikes were a nice gesture but half of the bikes are broken or on flat. Great home just needs improvement on property management especially when renters/customers are paying for these amenities to be up to par.

Large family vacation

We had a great time staying in Destin, and at this home. The beaches were great! I was hopeful that the pictures I saw would be true in that the water was pretty blue with emerald green shores, and they really were. Destin is also very family friendly, especially for little kids. The house was the perfect size for our extended family of 14. Everyone had space and privacy. The home was very clean and came with all of the amenities needed. The pool was also fantastic, and we loved having it enclosed by the screen. We still got plenty of sunshine but didn’t have to worry about any of the creatures of nature. Having access to the bikes and beach gear/equipment was also a bonus. The only downside was the walk to the beach from the house. It was a little too long of a walk for some, as well as to tote all of the equipment. So we had to come up with a system in which one of the people that were staying behind would drive everyone to the gate, and then come back and back everyone up. It definitely worked, it just wasn’t always the most convenient. We did have a couple of minor issues such as one of the toilets not working properly or the dish washer not working, but the maintenance staff was very helpful and came right away. Overall, it was a great trip and we would rent this house again as well as recommend it to others.

Absolutely perfect!

It had everything we needed and more! We drink a lot of coffee in the morning and brought one from home and it worked great with 2 pots going! We also brought our own beach towels and coolers, but everytging else was there! Kids loved sleeping in bunkbeds! It was perfect for all! There was 15 people and plenty of room! I would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful Home!

The home was very beautiful. The pictures made the rooms look bigger but was exactly as posted. Just a walk or bicycle ride to beach. I love that the home included bicycles and beach supplies. There were not enough towels or washcloths and linen for 18 people and the pool water was very cold, couldn’t figure out how to warm the water. A guy and his family can to test the water in the pool however there was no warning or a knock on the door to let us know who he was.. he just went straight to the pool. We had to ask who he was. The kitchen was nice and equipped with everything you need. I would definitely rent this home again. Beautiful home and great neighborhood!!!

Very pretty house

Very pleased with this lovely home, nice size bedrooms, up to date, clean, good stocked kitchen for cooking and serving. We had 14 people. Two umbrellas, wagon to pull stuff to beach, quiet gated neighborhood, good community center and pool. Zero complaints here. Ran out of propane and got new bottle within thirty minutes from property manger
