“The house was lovely, very clean, well stocked, and a great location on a quiet street. Nice area for walking, and convenient to many attractions. Overall I would give it a great review except for the view. The pictures showed a nice open view of the river, but because the trees and shrubs need to be trimmed you loose 80% of the view shown in pictures.That was my only disappointment. ”

“Very clean and well stocked property. All communications with David were prompt. I’ve been to the Samoset several times and the views are awesome however this property is not oceanfront nor does it have an ocean view so it was somewhat of a disappointment. “We enjoyed our stay in Alan’s cozy cottage. It is beautiful. It had such a comfortable bed (the bed should have its own five star rating!). The kitchen was well equipped with essentials for us such as coffee maker, filters, mugs, plates, microwave, and more. It was a great place to come back to after days of exploring Acadia National Park and the surrounding area. Alan is a very responsive host and we enjoyed meeting him.”
