We checked in at 3pm on July 11th. The temperature in the lobby was between 85 and 90 degrees. The hallways leading to the rooms were filled with old cabinets and dressers. Once in the room we found that the security lock had been broke off the door, no closet or hanging area for my suits, bathroom was filthy, there was a sign in front of the Television with a list of items that if not there once checked out would be charged to our card and the price for each item. Most of those items were not even in the room including ironing board, iron, clock, and so on. The room also smelled like cigarettes badly.
We stayed at the hotel a total of 45 minutes and 25 minutes of that was to book another hotel and get our bags out of there.
I travel around 150 days a year for work, and I can tell you I have never stayed in a place that was worse than this. I explained at the front desk that we would not be staying along with the reasons why, gave him back the keys and told him I would not pay for that room.
I will also be writing to Ramada and provide pictures of the room, hallway and surrounding areas. This place was a health and safety hazard.
