Ms. Tricot's house is really large, well functioning and yet stylish and cosy. The master bedroom at 2. floor provides a magnificent view over the beach and "the planks" of Deauville.
We were 6 persons of 3 generations, who really enjoyed our stay in spite of the changing weather. The 2 bathrooms plus a a separate WC makes things easy. The kitchen is a bit small, if more than 1 chef is going to work at the same time. A positive surprise was the noise reduction between the rooms and levels of the house.
The property is situated in a neigthbourhood locked by a barrier preventing non-authorized car traffic. There's an integrated garage in the ground floor with direct access to the living room. I you bring more than one car, the second must park outside the area.
The marina area surrounding the property is protected against the tide with a lock. It can be reached within 5 minutes of walk. At low tide it provides an excellent view plus a shortcut to the beach.
Wi-fi is excellent.
Ms Tricot writes and speaks really good English. In our case however, she vas not able to be at the spot, so we were welcomed by a very friendly and serviceminded lady. Unfortunately we don't speak french at all, and the lady did not speak a word English.
An emberrasing problem turned up, as we discovered, that the owner expected - very reasonable - a cash desposit for possible damage during our stay. As citizens of a non-euro country, we were not able to provide the amount of cash, that she needed. The problem was solved thanks to the landladys courtesy. However, a better solution for foreigners would have been, if the bureau would have been able to reserve the amount on our credit card - the same method used by car rental companies all over the world.
